Tree Planting: Container or Grow Bag?

i have a question i have a 1 year old (more or less probably less) its a Norway maple and its over a 1' tall and i was suppose to get rid of it last year but it grew so fast i just didnt have the heart

but i know it cant grow there and there is no more room for another tree in my yard so i was wondering if i could put it in a pot and bring it inside or outside in a pot to inside in winter? i know its kinda a weird question but i dont want to just kill a tree i want to do whatever i can for it
