Thats BS, I hit small 4 door and coupes with locomotives as big as a SD40-2 like this one, okay you wont see the train jerk or slack roll in but you will feel a slight twitch in the cab. and also yes almost every grade crossing I have had the locomotive had some sorta damage (mostly minor)

When you say he hit the guy and kept going, that's not true. A train can't stop on a dime like a car can, there's a whole lot of weight on one of those things. You can hear the train in emergency braking and see him stop at .48 on the video. He didn't just keep going.
Note how he slams on the brakes, trying to stop? You try stopping a few thousand tons of train. Not a couple of tons of auto. Infact, that train's probably carrying a few hundred autos.

I think there is a "c" in "Schmucked". Same spelling as "Schmuck." As to driving in front of a train, the old proverb applies: "Whether the stone hits the vase, or the vase hits the stone ... it's going to be bad for the vase."

No plow or loco damage that's good. From what I see the van got hit in the back, spun, and flipped. Ironically, that van will probably be smashed down into a aluminum scrap box and be hauled to a dump in a gondola car. BTW, a train got shot the other day in my area and the bullet came and shattered the Engineer's side window, but the bullet was not found, anyone know if trains are built bullet proof or...you know...?

I shoot footage or watch trains almost daily, same ol' crap everyday, today I got a flasher runner and caught the guy on film, and he couldn't even wait for a 6 car local? Sad thing was, the cars that waited for the train caught up with him at the RED traffic light, why didn't he just run that too?

People who 'jump' level crossings (railroad crossings) should have their car crushed and be banned from driving, then have their license destroyed and then be forced to re-take the whole driving lessons and tests..with extra emphasis on level crossings (UK)/railroad crossings(US)! Or just bring back the death sentence in the UK!
