Danny Gatton was not of this world when he played. I still know of no one that has this level of genius for the genre other than maybe Greg Koch and he's just a little too goofy to pull it off.

Perhaps, Junior Watson. I've not seen Junior on a Tele before, tho'.

@jukeking1 Well Danny would say Lenny Breau probably, but they were like Picasso and Rembrandt....unsurpassed genius, who just played differently...Danny could do stuff that Lenny didn't and vice versa....

"Danny can play like everybody, but nobody can play like Danny"...Fair comment...one of his drummers said that he could hear God coming out of Danny's amplifier sometimes...I know what he is talking about.
