@TiminPhoenix Actually on the set of Private Private Ryan the series Combat, was talked about between Tom Hanks and Spielburg. I think one of my uploads brings that topic up also.
The opening shot of "Hills Are for Heroes" is almost identical to the one in the famous documentary on the Battle of the Somme in WWI, when the British Tommies start advancing toward the Germans. Many years later, a research team actually located the spot where the camera had been set up and matched the footage to the present day scenery. Vic Morrow obviously had done some film research of his own before directing that episode.
"If you had something to say, you wrote hard words". Now, we just let mindless obsceneties flow freely. I'm utterly sick of these ridiculous scripts. I've used TV-G on several "oscar-winning" films and the entire film was literally censored! Outrageous! There is absolutely nothing compelling, nothing inspiring, nothing edifying, nothing poetic, nothing memorable in the scripts of today. Censorship forces writers to THINK and in so doing, forces audiences to THINK. Can you tell I am passionate?
"Hills" is among the best 2 hours of television, EVER shot.
It's a better "movie" than Saving Private Ryan.

@Warflicks And thank you for posting your uploads.
"SPR" may have aimed for the level of "Combat," but only hit it with a few minutes of the whole film.
