I hate sjc, but nice drums. Id rather do it myself than let them half ass it. With all fairness, ive only had one bad experience with a bevel on a snare, i didnt contact them tho, i just fixed it... But for the prices they change it should not have happen.
man i love sjc so much right now, Brian pretty much told me in a nutshell they back their drums 100% and if there's something wrong with what you buy from them let them know and they'll take care of it anytime
hey man you have a gorgeous kit and i have herd so many good things about sjc but i haven't herd anything about warranty or anything like that i was wondering if you could tell me if they have any coverage on their shells and whatnot. any way anything you could tell me helps allot thanks man
@CustomDrummer101 ive played zildjian cymbals when i first started many years ago...and i have to say they sound ok but do not last long...and are way too expensive to have to replace monthly if you play music with alot of energy like i do...but now i play sabians which is owned by bill zildjian but they have better quality stuff
@cavudog actualy u can get a series kit for about 1400. and im about to order a custom kit for 2200. but than ordering from any other custom company. they defenatly r good with price in comparason to other companies
@cavudog yea i just got a quote on a four piece kit with sjc thats just a natural finish with pearl inlay came out at like $4300. this kits gotta be up there
@cavudog SJC drums are actually cheaper than most custom drums. This would probably have a list price of around $4,000 but SJC offers direct discounts so I'm not entirely sure. But it's always important to remember that it's worth it for these drums.
hey dude i was wondering if you are selling this kit? bcs i really loved it and im looking for a drum set like this for years but they are too expensive brand new :( im in mexico but thats not a problem haha let me know!
hey man, i don't know if you get them over in the states, but check out wuhan chinas. they're very cheap, but they have a really good sound, high quality chinas. we get them over here in australia. so yeah, if you can, check them out
dude that kit is almost exactly like the ones i want to get but i want the yamaha hoops and i wanna it with the ebony head. i want the DW 9000 shit too
Hey brother, I love the kit, SJC is definitley my favorite and imo the best as well, their service is great. Also I like the Macbeth shoes. Keep rockin!!!!!
Hey thanks for checking out ONE LIGHT OUT and downloading some tunes- very cool man! I was originally using the EC2 coated on toms, but recently switched to G2's. G1 on all bottoms. Kick uses the EMAD2 w/ 2 internal dampers. The EC2's work well w/ my DW kit, but to muffled for the hybrid. I don't consider myself "endorsed" by SJC, even though there are people out there that buy a kit and say that they got endorsed by them.
Well franciscowech, saying that DW is better than SJC is all a matter opinion. My opinion is that DW is better than sjc. (but that's all opinion). Also "ply" means the layers of wood used to make the shell of the drum i believe. (Please anyone correct me if i'm wrong). So that is my opinion. Hope i helped.
Yes spazattackdrummer- it's a opinion, kind of like assholes- everyones got one. I also play a DW kit that iv'e probably had for 10yrs, I use that kit for studio and smaller shows.. SJC and all other custom makers are a completely different drum sound.
Hey man i listened to One Light Out and I even got some of your songs on itunes! You guys are talented, keep up the good work! Btw are you using Evans G2's over G1's for you're toms? And is that and EMAD 2 on you're kick? And are you endorsed by SJC?
I would def recommend die cast on the toms. It will keep your heads in tune alot longer but the only thing that you may not like is the "feel". To me, it creates a different type of stick feel- much better rim shots!
Are you interested in SJC? Contact Mike or Bryan- those are the 2 coolest guys iv'e ever done business with!
that set is sick! Ive always wanted a SJC kit but i think im going gretsch for my next one. I just listened to your band too! sounds great - myspace/fighterplanesband

A small question, is the plexiglas over the full lenght of the shell or is it just in the middle ?
Really nice kit though, but then again way to good for me!

Try $2,500 minimum. A good kit will go for $3,250
cavudog 2 years ago 9
thats if you use the custom kit maker. they have some stuff on sale for less. theyre new series IV's are only 1,500 actually.

That is just if you use the Kit Builder, which gives a retail MSRP. What you actually pay is less.
