  • Nice recording blob. I dont think it ever left the camera. I was looking up power to weight ratios for cars n stumbled on this lol. This is doot

  • Tim Jones is one hell of a pilot... and then he finishes with no timer on and does a sweet auto in to land... hell ya

  • Wow... what is that thing! I want it now...

  • ...All we need now is to militarize these kinds of helis with pilots like this, and we will be ready to outmaneuver any alien invaders lol. That is a sexy heli.

  • wooooooooooooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finished assembling my 700e yesterday and flew it at the local hobby shop in Oakland ME yesterday. The initial rush was amazing as it was blowing advertizing placards off the walls and hats off the heads of the peanut gallery. Very stable and enough power to light up and average size house! And the sound.......

  • Ive been trawling youtube watching helis for quite a while now and this is the most extreme flight i have ever seen, i fly 3d myself but nothing like this wow!!! is all i can say

  • Ok... Yes...

  • Wow, Don't put your head in the rotor, only in halloween aloud.

    What for Lipo size/ampere use????

  • Astonishing. I had no idea such maneuvers were possible with an RC chopper.

  • Forget about "The Beast", you are the most insane pilot I've ever seen. You Rock!

  • Oh my gosh!!! the power.....you can hear it. There were times that I thought I was watching this video in fast forward. that thing is just insane. Very impressive video. Kudos to the cameraguy for being able to keep up with it. Impressive machine!!! can't believe its electric. Well done!!!

  • 6 people were decapitated by this

  • nice flying

  • That is insane! That thing can kill you if you get hit by it. What a BEAST! So much power i bet it can lift a grown ass man off the ground lol

  • man i just cant understand how the gears on that thing can take that kind of punishment. must be made out of some pretty tough stuff lol.

  • Just thinking of The Beast on a V-BAR :P

  • nice flying man

  • fucking nerds my dicks 8 horsepower

  • @531polaris Why is there always some prick making rude comments like you?

  • yeah.... I would fear this... had I been there.

  • "Mom, why does it sound like you're trying to use the kitchen blender as a wood chipper?"

  • can i buy this heli in tesco? or maybe something a bit faster cos im a pro now I watched this n need somethin more betterer

  • It's easier to fly a real full sized jumbo jet without any flying experience than it is to fly an rc plane like the guy in this video. What he is doing is insanely hard without years of experience and expensive crashes.

  • art of playing... congrats!

  • this is the coolest shit ive seen in awhile

  • bet the military would have a use for that thing its so damn quick with a small automatic weopon and the right pilot one could fly into a compound and /or a buildng/cave and clean house .. the towells would be needed to soak up the pieces

  • Sounds like a semi truck.

  • Weapons Testing!

  • Loving it, definitely insane flying man! :-)

  • thats a best, but still I like bigger hellis whit slow Hs,and high for small 450size

  • That said, Awesome flying dude!! Gives me motivation to keep in the hobby.

  • i think its funny when people who dont know SHIT about SHIT post comments. "this is fake" LOOK, GOOGLE 3D Helicopters. Real helis cannot perform like these r/c 3D heli's can. 3D=3dimensional learn some shit about shit before you make some stupid ass comment about something you know absolutely nothing about!!

  • wow

  • holy shit thats awesome. How much does a trex 700 nitro cost?

  • @ajmatovich50 mine cost $3k but u can get a decent on for about 1.2k brand new

  • is this fast forward ?or real :)

  • Holy crap, that's wierd. I had a dream last night that I met Tom Hanks!

  • I dont get it .

Why make a fake vid about flying an rc heli ?

    Whats the point ?

  • men that is so cool ...

  • Fucking insane man, that is the most awesome heli flying ive ever seen

  • Most amazing heli flying skills I've ever seen!! Amazing performance!

  • Is this conversion from nitro or trex 700e kit

  • 5 idiots think this is fake.

  • Even ended it with an inverted auto! Very nicely done!

  • Out of all the heli flyin this guy has the best style fu&$in awsome

  • lol this is like the helicopters in battlefield 2142

  • good fucking grief....awesome flying!

  • sos un genio

  • How many years you been flyin r/c choppers..You make this look way to easy!!! I only been flyin for 8 months LOL.. I fly a exceed mad hawk 300 fixed pitch..im still learnin..But you make me envious LOL..Great flyin!!! I'll get to your level sometime in the next 10 years..

  • Pure madness. Thanks for sharing, it is really insane. Awesome.

  • 100% certified Awesome Sauce... flaming HOT variety! I'm still amazed that the forces that are going on don't snap the blades off at the grips.

  • stupit video you dont even know why it wont fly its way to heavy maniac :^

  • Man saw the video again after a long time and this is still EPIC !!!

This Video is one of the best rc heli videos you can see on ww w !! Just awesome :) !!!!!!!

    HELIFREAK rockz;) greetings from Germany

  • 10 *

  • At first I was going to call that fake, but I guess it is not. But I still cannot figure out how the heck you keep that thing in the air. What generates lift when the rotors are vertical to the ground...?

  • The heli isn’t in a perfect 90 degree angle. As you assumed that creates no lift and the heli will fall to the ground and very fast at that. But as long as you tilt it ever so slightly as Tim does in the video and apply the right mix of power and turning speed the heli will stay there. It’s very much like a marble speeding along the inside of a bowl. As long as the speed is enough the marble can’t fall down (while in a perfect cylinder it falls regardless of speed).

  • @Utgardaloki76 I see. It looks totally awsome.

  • @MrSatanica cuz the BLADES can be rotated around its axis :)

  • @MrSatanica I _think_ it's centripetal force but maybe someone who has taken a physics in the last 10 years can chime in.

  • That is the sickest 3d flying I've ever seen. Keep it going...

  • are u serious that is impossible!! the story here is not your heli, it is your talent and controling of something out of control.

  • And finishes with an auto, part of which was inverted. Kick ass. And here I am with my simulator just having trouble holding an inverted hover. LOL I'm a total noob.

  • pure nasty!

  • Ich sag nur Hossa! 

  • Sick man!

  • where can i buy it????

  • what the heck is that? its an awesome helli

  • I put a small block 350 in mine ,,, so there!!!!!

  • Awesome Heli and Flying.

    Looks super scary.

  • tittle is right: its an BEAST

  • Hell yeah, this thing could carry a small dog much less my camera I want to attach to it. Great video and skill!

  • wow

  • This is really a beast!!! :-)

  • whats the best 700e or 90e out in the market today?

  • Yeah it's got a little pop!!

  • Chuck norris is the pilot!

  • That's a Castle Vertigo motor right? They got these suckers on sale for cheap right now.

  • it looks like a very extened and milked crash!! thats rediculos! htf you keep that in the air!!!

  • TALK ABOUT EXTREME 3D! IF THAT AINT THE MOST POWERFUL RC BRUSHLESS MOTOR THEN WHAT IS AND WHERE DO I GET IT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT I THINK I NEED A NEW PAIR O PANTS AND A SHOWER

  • fuker sounds sweet.....

  • The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But there are very powerfull forces that want to supress the technology,Get a real free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Free yourself!

  • Holy cow, this align company is making Heli bigger and bigger WTF. lol... whats next??? ha? 900 size? oversize?

  • wow your flying skill is insane

  • Insane at least.... 3 years ago I promised never to touch a nitro model again... this is the reason.

  • number one best vid of all rc shit, tim jones is the shit man sooo smooth love you man!!!!! ps flybarless is good but flybar sounds 10x better

  • OMG, hide the women and children.

  • I liked it very good to see it wasn't just do heaps of flips in front of your self like most others..... just big speed and big flying <3 it

  • CRAP!! i wana be his freind.

  • Very Impressive!!..."The Beast" is an under statement,

That was one kick-ass example of 3D flying at it's finest, and with an electric 700 t-rex at that...from what I can see, it don't get no better than this...well done!

  • Very Impressive!!..."The Beast" is an under statement,

  • Now let's see this in Flybarless! Anyone wanna say 150 MPH??

  • THE BEAST.......!!!!!! WOW!!

  • I wanne see this heli crash.

So much power gave so much damage.

  • I know him... he's... he's the Jonas brothers LoL

  • Look good at the heli.

90% from this heli are lipo's!

  • How many lipo's eat this monster????

  • simply jaw dropping and finish was class never noticed it the 1st time watched :)

  • ok. my last exposure to R/C was when i built a grasshopper car. I had an icarus when it came out, and then i've been out of it. What i see now i am just BLOWN AWAY how far tihngs have come. I never bothered to check in. this is nuts!!!!!!

  • i wonder who are the four fuck sticks that didnt like this video

  • @dude7422 They're just envious. Let them be the suckers they are lol.

  • Can you please tell us if your running the gov mode or set rpm or fixed

  • hi joey here, what kind of brushless botor is that, i'ed like to know an where did you buy it?

  • That things a freakin' monster.

  • Hello,

What is the weight in grams of model ready to flight?

  • HELIFREAK BABY!

  • Dude!… Helifreaker VIP visit :) Now where is me red carpet..

It’s been said before but it can’t hurt to say it again. You truly rock Finless. Your work, videos and help over at Helifreak are priceless. And your build videos are more than just helpful, they’re a joy to watch. So very well done. Not to mention you know how to film a heli in action like this Beast video. Hope you’ll never stop.

  • @finless Awesome video and awesome tutorial videos indeed, but why didn't you upload them all to YouTube? I'm a member on HeliFreak, but downloading videos takes a long long while, sometimes fails and YouTube sounds like the obvious solution. I guess there are good reasons not to upload them all to YouTube, but if you like I could upload them all for you if it's just a matter of taking the time to do so. Cheers and happy flying and thanks again.

  • Having problem with the answering function which keeps erasing the post I’m supposed to answer. What ever:

@Utgardaloki76 have you seen the new data its putting out closer 14 hp, expt now there having issues keeping stuff in the power system from failing

  • @Stunts08

Man.. 14Hp?(!) You talking about Vertigo?

You wouldn't happen to have a link to that log file?

Are you referring to the main gear or ESC regarding the failure? At any rate they need to stop designing helis using a pinjon to main gear configuration in my opinion and start using a driving belt between. Even nitros as well as the 700M keep stripping mains for no good reason.

  • @Utgardaloki76 "...in my opinion and start using a driving belt between" Belt-drives and Chain-drives are much worse than a well designed gear-driven system. Cars and lorries aren't chain-driven for example.

The fault lies in the gear design and the materials used. They should use metal helical-gears for the larger helicopters, but they just copy the design of the smaller helicopters exactly. The density of the air remains the same and yet they expect plastic-gears to turn massive blades.

  • @Utgardaloki76 Continued. Indeed, the loading on the drive-mechanism increases exponentially. As the blades get longer, the tip speed increases. Air-resitance increases with something like the CUBE of the velocity. The moment-of-inertia of the blades increases too with the square of the radius/blade-length. Yet the gears used are still plastic and seem to be the same thickness as those driving the blades of the 450s.

  • @Utgardaloki76 Continued some more. I suppose I should have just said that you won't find Chain or Belt drives in a full-size helicopter, nor will you find plastic-gears either.

  • holy shit fuck!

  • @Stunts08 "the Vurtigo Motor is for sale at Power Helis :) i had to buy one"

Sorry Stunts08... seems I accidentally erased your post. My bad

  • I sure would like to see some log files of the Vurtigo and compare them to the KDE-Neu 1917H/1Y motor. Both generate rediculous power.

  • @Utgardaloki76 the Kde motor only puts out 6500Watts what its ratted for about 7 horse power the Vertigo 5035 puts out around 8500 about 11 Hp

about the erasing i really don't care its fine

  • Specs don't mean much since theres no standard for them. 700M=6600W yet the KDE1917 ridicules the 700M in real flight. You need to log a motor in real flight to get a good picture of it. youtube.com/watch?v=K4u-4_77Ylo&feature=player_embedded here the 1917 was logged at 9403W. At ~93% efficiency this yields about 11.7HP out (12.6 in). Way beyond spec.

  • I am for shure gonna pick one of these up from somewhere like TOYS "R" US and try this stuff out how much are they at places like TOYS "R" US? And are the blades like rubber or foam so if you get hit buy the blades it won't hurt you?

  • @lamborghinicorvette

Trex 700 is a hobby grade rc helicopter. You'll find it at hobby dealers.

The blades are made of carbon fiber and spin at over 600 km/h (about 400 mph) with this heli. The striking force is somewhere in the vicinity of one ton so getting hit by one of these is a no no.

  • too good, unbelievable. If you ever need to stay in Auckland NZ you have free accommodation if I can see that live with my own eyes

  • wow

  • amazing..

  • wow! thats the benchmark for power. nice flying without a canopy. I just sold my t600 12s for a 700e. cant wait..

  • Great!

  • God damn :D

  • Now , I could understand what a 5000g heli with 7hp is!!

BTW, the motor is Pyro or KDE?

And, I thought 2200 rpm is the safe limit for the Align head, is the 2350 too crazy?

  • That setup on 44.4v is well over 7hp

  • "thats insane dude"

  • INSANE POWER. WOW. A BIT SCARY THOUGH

  • Excellent flight, you use flat curve collective pitch?

  • he is running it governed.

  • Can't wait to see what electrics will be doing in 5 years.

  • @annonymoususerme

"Any idea what the head speed is?"

I've heard the head speed is somewhere around 2350 rpm. Much more than nitro can ashieve in other words. As far as I understand that's not the limit of the brushless motor. But going higher just makes the heli uncontrolable or at least very hard/too fast to control.

  • Damn that thing is just chewin up the air! I like the sound of it whinding up on the initial lift off at 1:26.

  • Holy Sh*t...I had no idea this type of thing existed!!

  • incredible

  • Absolutely amazing!

Bob mentions "custom frames" - which are they?

And are you running a stock main gear, of have you had to use something with some "bigger teeth"?

    Thanks a million

    Peter

  • @psindrup I don't know exactly which they are. Tim has modified this heli since this video was recorded though. A new veriety that needs flybarless setup I think. If so he's modified it to work with flybars (tilted aileron and pitch-servos in a straight setup with no bell cranks etc.)

Regarding the main gear he has started to use one with bigger kogs and stronger material since the motor kept ripping the stock version to pieces.

  • Is that video in high speed ? :)

  • Just insane !

    I have a trex 450 pro and I thought it was fast..lol

    Awesome boy ! Great !

  • wow what a power!

    i found 6S 45C 4400MAh but it its weight is 748g, to make 12S you'ill have 1496g! isn't that too much??

    btw super flight man!

  • @BadBramiBoy

No that's normal for an electric heli like this. Batteries are darn heavy!

  • You should be considered the Best of ther Best. ABSOLUTELY amazing.

  • Scary!!!!!!! WOW!!!

  • Thats totally crazy, insane, incredible i dont have words for this. Thats Crank maan. thanks for the great video. I want to fly that Beast

    Adi

  • Thx for the comment! Yeah that sure is one crazy heli. I would really like to try it myself as well but I recon that at my skill level I'd probably have no business getting as much as near that thing. It would either dissapear on me or I would bang that thing so hard into the ground there wouldn't be much left to rebuild hehe. Scary machine.
