You've never seen Amy Winehouse perform, have you. My take: Different place in time. Aging starlett serving her audience to a guarded but spirited performance of the song which led me here, though I do not typically listen to this style of music. As we age, frankly, we all pacify our troubled souls with something, to whatever degree. This anhilates anything by Spears, Winehouse, The Simmmmpsonnnnns or anyone else of the modern day.
@less01 Don't get me wrong. I don't know if she was using anything at that time, but I've seen Judy lose her place or fumble a line many times. It's amazing to watch her recover instantly and go on. If it's bad enough she laughs and brings us in on it. In this instance she fumbles a little bit but it seemed to me to take her an inordinate amount of time to get back in her groove, unsure of words , eyes darting about, then pouncing to regain her timing. Only an impression.
@less01 Around 1:20 or so. On second look it really seems very slight. She was only lost for about five seconds and never missed a word. Just some timing. Sorry if I made too much of it. Love the convo tho. ;)
Ms. Garland's show ran but one season on CBS Television; she came on right after The Ed Sullivan Show.
It was one of the greatest shows of its kind ever on television

....additionally, we haven't had a president that can make it through a speech without a teleprompter for several decades now.
Give it a rest.

Judy looks and sounds great on this number. Addiction disrupts concentration but she still pulls it off.
