I would really like to just say this: I am Mormon, I am LDS, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We do NOT believe in polygamy. That issue was over MANY years ago, and those who think that practice continues need to do research. We DO NOT practice polygamy. The last thing needed is more rumors spreading around. Before you make decisions about us, at least know that you have the facts correct.

She was more like a feminist mistress then a plural wife. An escape on the weekends from this man's duties as father with no bills to pay. Living in another town. Just going to book stores and enjoying each others company. She was his secretary. She hinted the other wives were a little jealous at their unique life style-freedoms, escapism. Jesus was not gay because the bible says he lived the law of Moses perfectly. The bible also says the bride of Christ is the Church. Paul in the NT makes the point that he had the power not to lust. Thus he could give all his work to the Kingdom.

I wouldn't say the stereotypes of Mormon polygamy are wrong; abuse and such do go on. They might not apply to all polygamous families, however.

Don't be a fool. "Fundamentalist" mormon is a contradiction in terms. The fundamental belief if the LDS church is continuing revelation. Plural marriage didn't appear until the church had been running for quite some time, and it stopped over 100 years ago. It was a phase of our history, not its foundation, and not its present.

Women can remarry in the temple, but on subsquent marriages they do not seal them. This is because unlike ElderJoseph we follow the Bible, which treates all of a woman's children as if from her first husband.

If Elder Joseph did not believe that LDS temples have power to seal someone for eternity, then this distinction would make no difference to him.

You are so correct. The term "Fundamentalist Mormon" is nonsense. It does not exist.  The church is built upon continuing revelation. One of Joseph Smith's pural wifes (Anna Kirkland) said (after) the practice was discontinued, "God gave the law and God can take the law." People who leave the church for this discontinued doctrine are being foolishly away.
