Tim Willocks, Don Winslow and Edward Bunker are other awesome writers, you should check them out. But like yourself, i find after reading them and Ellroy, that others are very very tame.

First comment! Which is - I can hardly read any other fiction than Ellroy's nowadays, it just seems so tame and boring. Blood's a Rover is great, although I'm not sure better than Cold thousand....
