  • Flea the best/ I m very happy!!!

  • Why just do the same thing with a different band? I don't get it Thom

  • You and flew are both playing Paul McCartney's bass (or at least the one he made famous {Hoffner Violin Bass}) Funny how EVERYTHING is a collaboration, a borrowing. Anybody here (the one's who adore Flea) ever check out The Mars Volta? Versatile is definitely the theme concerning Flea!

  • i love this fucking song!

  • WHY! do you people have to scream in the middle of a preformance? And stop put your fuckin video phones above your heads.Have some thought for the people behind you trying to SEE and enjoy the show.

  • flea is totally playing my bass!

  • @ZombiesCartoon You are playing flea's bass!

  • @dstamati ssshhhhh :P

  • i think im the luckiest person. rhcp is my favorite band of all time and radiohead is my second. it cant get any better

  • Many people obsess over the (individual) members of RHCP's musical prowess, but I disagree. RHCP may not be the best individuals of their instruments by any stretch of imagination, but they are DEFINITELY one of the very best bands when they play together. You can have five instrument virtuosos on stage at once, but it'll sound like ass. RHCP does some amazing stuff and there's no denying that.

  • @banooba or... OR! they have well-rounded musical taste, and can understand the genius of Thom Yorke. In which case they probably don't give a fuck what you think.

On a different note, I can't wait to hear a CD by these dudes.

  • @banooba shhh

  • @banooba If you're interested, try listening to the recorded version first a few times. The song is truly gorgeous. Then seeing it live might be different for you.

  • @banooba It is one of my favorite from "The Eraser" so i dont think I pretend to like it. just like mattew said you should listen to the studio version before judging this live

  • Why do so many of you have to judge, assess, and uicking rate this stuff? This music is out of this world! Like anything Yourke does, it is so different that many people have a hard time getting their heads around it. If that is the case STFU and move on. Why do you feel a need to slam or to compare something that is beyond comparison? Get a bigger life, will ya?

AMAZING MUSIC SIMPLY OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

  • I love his dancing and yes his voice!!

  • Such an intimate song. Highlight for me over the weekend. Also loved Vangel moneymoney.

  • Hit those notes!

  • lol chili peppers and radiohead rull...can`t say one is better than the other....not in music....flea-frusciante-chad-anthony were unique, thom yorke and the rest of radiohead are unique and beautifull to ===>rhcp early albums-sex,rock,fuck,drugs :))

  • @stamapuff passion dripping from the coyotes eyes, he can taste his blood, and blood never lies. TRUE MEN DONT, KILL COYOTES.

  • I think the first "smell your lies" is the first time I've ever heard Thom be off.

But thats alright, once, in one song, at one show, out of 217412472947219041294702 shows is pretty good hahaha

  • One week until I see them in Chicago!

  • fucking amazing!

  • Falling somewhere between 'genius' and 'mad scientist', Thom Yorke is forever concocting new and dangerours methods of pushing the art in2 uncharted waters....

    Please come 2 Melbourne!!!!

  • Is this good?

  • it´s so strange to see flea with Thom. Don´t get me wrong, i like it, but it´s funny i guess!

  • I just cannot get into anything Thom has done lately. It doesn't sound like he's even trying anymore. Just mumbling. "Reckoner" is about the only thing good I've heard him do in years. Which, of course, that song is phenomenal.

  • I want to make this work but I am too ashamed and beguiled. Flea did the remix but he worked with the maker of Atoms For Peace by Thom Yorke, the song. Thom really didn't enjoy my talk of my rendition of his Invasions of the Bodysnatchers which I did before I heard his sounding too much like Reading Rainbow.

  • @MistaMANG huh?

  • Best bass since Animal Chin live at Northwestern. All the funny colors are throwing me off I am going to have to get some masking tape to color talking soon... egging Gray on.

  • @MistaMANG Dude, lay off the drugs. You are fucking making NO SENSE.

  • yours is savvy

  • I'm hearing that neon pink, Austin can see music too. The neon pink should turn a bit purple as it always does.

  • @MistaMANG Dude, you were high off your face when you wrote this shit.

  • What an amazing group of musicians! Mauro Refosco is also a brilliant percussionist; He's been playing with David Byrne for yeaaars!

  • I'll support Thom in everything he does! He rules!! I hope it's not the end of Radiohead though. Anybody know if they're putting out an album anytime soon?

  • seeing them in oakland... so brilliant, cannot wait

  • @gbrllglr me too april 15th just got my tix! :D

  • Thom said in an interview with Spin that he did like RHCP's music but that he was growing sick of Stadium Arcadium because his children were playing it a lot.

Also, there's a Jools Holland uploaded around here where Thom is jamming out to RHCP's live performance.

  • will yis all give it a bleedin rest!!!! Thom Yorke on stage with Flea= Savage music! Throw in nigel godrich too? Just gets better!

  • Atoms For Peace in Coachella!!!.... yeah!!

  • I don't like RHCP's music at all, but I know that Flea is an amazing, versatile bassist. Wish I could jam with him.

  • @philipmazz27 boo! RCHP is the best band ever

  • @YHCP09 wrong, radiohead is the best band ever!!.

  • @rwizzard7 Its your own oppinion. Dont be so serious.

    Tom+Flea= the best band))

    xD

  • @YHCP09 RADIOHEAD IS THE BEST BAND EVER. HANDS DOWN!

  • @philipmazz27 damn youre missin out

  • @mikedaub1991 not really.

  • @philipmazz27 Yeah, you are, but it's ok, nothing wrong with that.

  • @Resistanceband It's subjective. He's better at the trumpet anyway.

  • @philipmazz27 must dig deep to find the love for RHCP. May I suggest reading Scar Tissue. Amazing Bio you'll be talking about it for weeks. Not a fan boy, just happen to come across the read and changed my mind completely about the band.

  • @philipmazz27 you should spend some time with the new material. Also, read the RHCP Scar Tissue bio. Insane read and definitely a page turner.

  • @philipmazz27 aw come on man, RHCP is awesome! try listening to more of their stuff, every album is a bit different.

  • gotta love the internet. where even a moron like negro447 has a voice. go play the drums for the rest of your idiot family at holidays so they can all tell you how good you are.

  • @geoffmcc the nigger bongo drums

  • too all the fools and tools out there that cant tell the difference between a comparison in genre or type of music and just plain out bad music.... like rhcp vs radiohead, thats a comparison to different types of music... then there is this falls in my other category i mentioned... ^_^ savy?

  • I really don't think htey are a very good comparison...there music is SOOOO different... I <3 them both.... I don't think either is better than the other.

  • You can't be serious when you say the chili peppers are better than radiohead right?

  • @marcwm21

    both bands are good.

You cant be serious saying red hot arent good.

  • @marcwm21 theyre both good but you shouldnt smash someones opinion...people like different stuff man

  • @marcwm21

it would actually have to depend on how you define "good." frusciante is considered a better guitarist than either greenwood or o'brien but then again, they are both great guitarists and there are two of them and frusciante is gone now. flea is considered the best living rock bassist, certainly better then the other greenwood. finally, yorke is a much better singer and songwriter than kiedis so i guess that leaves us with both bands being about equal.

  • @marcwm21 dude if you want a really upbeat fun song then RHCP are the place to go xD but saying that radiohead are my favourite band

  • im happy that flea is a fan of radiohead, its prob not the other way around.

  • @negro447 ahh a comedian...i like that...

  • woa... maybe the most stupid comment about music that i ever read, someone with a litle taste about music knows radiohead is one of the best bands, they can easily be in top 10

  • it doesn't necessarily mean Thom is a fan of RHCP's stuff. he could just be a fan of his style.

  • @grantchestermeadows1 yea i should have written it out. i meant to say thom is prob not a fan of rhcp

  • yea no problem. I can't see him really being into rhcp either

  • @typeinbolivianbug in an interview a a while back thom mentioned his kids or one of his kids listening to alot of RHCP and he liked it

  • boring

  • agreed

  • who wouldnt be on ecstasy at this show? this cd is so sick

  • Everyone and there brother has an i phone

  • lots of people on ecstasy, i believe...

  • Personally I've always thought he was doing a play on words, saying both 'so many are lies' and also 'so many allies'.

  • beautiful. my favorite yorke song. and i can't believe i missed it.

  • i thought it was so many alies, so many alies

  • yup, sounds very much much like allies.

  • wow im very impressed with fleas controlling himself. he is encouraged to be crazy with rhcp but is holding it together very nicely heree

  • Hihi.. I love how Flea is playing such a mellow, plucky bass line, very different from the RHCP.

Such an unexpected combination Flea and Yorke... but it works out to be very very cool.

  • I bet flea really enjoys this. he just took a music theory class at usc and I bet he jumped at the chance to really work his mind and expand his chops. Hopefully something that will expand rhcp's sound. I really like chad smith's meatbats too. And John Frusciante's solo album was good too, this bodes well if they can tie it all together for the new album!

  • Nigel he is...

  • Which of the people on stage is nigel godrich?

  • far left...one of the greatest producer ever!

  • He looks like a "Nigel".

  • left side

  • the end of this song reminds be of the bridge from "national anthem"

  • This was my favorite song they played that night. So lucky to be there, happy/sad/then happy again dance music. Like a rave atmosphere, dancing, humid air, vibeing off of Thom's energy, plus the beats were amazing, especially with Flea laying down some serious grooves. He should leave the Peppers and make relevant music like he did in the early nineties.

  • oh my god. this was my favorite from The Eraser. i wish there was a feasible way i could see this group...

  • oh mio dio *______* thanks

  • awesome, nice video, thanks

  • nice job recording - what did u use?

damn wish i knew they were playing - i would of driven from SD

  • I always thought that he speed up his voice to make those quick changes, but I guess I was wrong...

  • damn you are so lucky, great video.

  • thanks a lot for the video! i'm really interested in seeing the video quality of the guy in front of you with the huge cam.

  • this was just a warm up concert according to thom, i beg to differ though. it looks amazin

  • I swear it sounds like "no more leaky holes in your brain / and no Faust Arp" :D

  • So do I!!! Before I got the lyrics I thought he said no Faust Arp. And I still dont know whether he says so may allies or so many lies... always heard the first one!

  • I think it's "So many allies, so many are lies", just like I think Idioteque has the line "Here I'm alive" in one place, and 'Here I'm allowed" in another :)

  • well its actually, "so many lies, so many lies"

  • How do you know? I hear differently.

  • @libelle156 well theres a thing called the internet. what you can do is ask it what the lyrics are. and the all-knowing internet told me that they lyrics are "so many lies, so many lies" i know...magical

  • was it an official thom yorke page? think about who might have written up those lyrics. someone like you or me. thom yorke is notorious for having obscure lyrics and not letting everyone in on what they are.

  • also, i can't believe you blindly trust whatever you read on the internet. it has even less authority than your newspaper.

  • @hzthereaper Actually it seems the internet is divided, lots of sites say it's 'lies' but there's also a website that translated the lyrics booklet that came with the Japanese release of the CD and they say it's so many 'allies'.

  • Minusing that is a bit mean. I can't even work out how I offended you.

  • This show is legendary.

We all know it, but years from now, everyone else will concur.

  • never thought this would work. feels quite wierd. like it a lot. must have more.

  • Dig Flea playing the McCartney Viola Bass.

  • @ConfidencePill fuckin oath

  • hell yes, son.

  • thom and flea! a dream has just come true! :D

  • gracias muy bueno

  • THANK YOU.
