  • The ultimate party van!

  • What a shit vehicle. On the assembly line, we cant lean on these because they will dent. The metal is paper thin. The plastic is brittle, the components are cheap & fail. Our transmissions are notoriously bad & our wheels are a plastic composit. If they didnt pay me $35 an hour for putting in a tail light, I wouldnt work for this garbage maker. I build this crap but I drive a GM. Gimme your tax dollars dummys.

  • Well, I bet you're happy then that both of them went bankrupt and your probably out of a job then huh?

  • GM Sucks!

  • dude , GM took a great amount of our tax money , alot more then Chrysler did. and i've owned chryslers all my life and love them, tough , rough , and rugged. especially luxurious. i simply trust what can be trusted. although the new camaro is quite a beauty

  • i want one of those vans really bad

  • why are you saying these 2 vans are Ugly??????

  • coupes and cars SUCK!

  • Best brand ever Chrysler !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like the old 1984-90 chrysler minivan they haded more room inside then the new 2008.

  • Were is the emergence wheel in this minivan, is not in the back.

  • it is under the front under the storage console

  • *If Honda and Toyota were teamed up.

  • And the new Pontiac Vibe came from Matrix! GM copied Toyota.

  • No they didn't; it's called badge engineering, a different nose, different badges and you then have a different model. All of the Big Three are guilty of doing that.

  • Truthfully, I think the Vibe looks like a big Prius.

    BTW, Toyota's suck.

  • WHERE??? WHERE?? SHOW ME WHERE IT GETS 19/26. IT GETS 16/23 with 3.9L V6. NOT 19/26

  • Actually, GM minivans in 2006 were down 50% from their all-time high in 2000 of roughly 325,000 units, which is not shabby. Thats why GM is cutting them in the US.

  • I'm sorry you like the most unpopular and most uncomfortable, unreliable minivans, but life would suck if you bought the least recommended minivans and cars. No cool stuff on them. Uplander doesn't have SHIT on them compared to the other minivans. Maybe OnStar but thats it. StabiliTrak is the same thing as traction control, nothing special, many car enthusiasts quoted the Uplander has cheap interiors, along with Dodge. GM has finished making minvans for awhile, Ford has chickened out too...

  • Comment removed

  • ok wow? All the other minivans have leather seats too and Toyota Sienna can seat up to 8 people was well you know. Uplander doesn't have all the cool stuff other minivans have either.

  • Comment removed

  • You cannot get roll down mid windows, you cannot get turn signals on side mirrors, you cannot get foglights (all this is referring to the recent GM minivans like Uplander/Relay etc... not Venture, Silhoutte) you cannot get power tailgate like you said, the speakers don't sound as good as the Dodge, toyota and honda minivan, and you cannot get a 6-speed or 5-speed automatic transmission. Chevy still has the boring old 4-speed. Outdated and gives the car worse gas mileage.

  • Comment removed

  • Uplander was more noisy. Smaller inside than the other minivans I test drove and the Uplander was extended. GM's only saving grace is OnStar but I wasn't stupid enough to fall for that.

  • Comment removed

  • What kind of question is that? It has nothing to do with OnStar. Remember I told you about a couple of my friends owning a GM product with OnStar and their cars were reported stolen and OnStar never could locate their cars! And we just got word last week that the cops found the car thieves. They already took the OnStar apart, and took the whole car apart and sold the parts. OnStar equals bullshit. Seriously, it just does.

  • Comment removed

  • Well, there is this new system called "TomTom" that can be put in any car for a MUCH cheaper price than OnStar. That can help locate you in a wreck if you cannot respond. I'm actually getting one soon and hooking it up to my UConnect in the car. UConnect is not shitty either! Don't be jealous now. :D

  • Comment removed

  • uh huh sure. You haven't even tried the TomTom. You should. It would be alot better than OnStar. Trust me. And then a year later you have to pay $100 a month for OnStar whereas on TomTom, only $10 a month. And it doesn't need to detect when the airbags deploy, it detects when you are in a crash then it calls for help! Some people put TomTom's in cars without airbags!

  • Comment removed

  • Well you realize that you say AMerican muscle is great? Well more people prefer American cars from the 70's and lower. And for the fact that TomTom offers the same as OnStar...TomTom would be a better buy. Your just a big GM fan and just want to deny that TomTom is just as great. (like I said, also at a cheaper price to for TomTom).

  • Comment removed

  • GM minivans doesn't matter most and nither does Ford. Thats an opinion. And since TomTom is cheaper, more than likely it'll sell more if OnStar were to sell separate. And most people today aren't looking for horsepower, they want reliability and thats where Japanese cars step in!

  • Comment removed

  • Whats with Navigation being put in Tahoes and Suburbans when it already has OnStar? That's pretty stupid if you ask me. And I'm not gonna argue about Ford's reliability cause I already proved to you that Ford announced that cause they want more sells.

  • Comment removed

  • Well Toyota could afford Sync and OnStar, but they don't want to copy them like GM has copied Toyota's hybrid technology.

  • Comment removed

  • Well maybe GM hybrids aren't completely the same, but GM got ideas from Toyota cause it was announced over the news and the radio a couple years ago. And Toyota didn't go from Honda. But you got to admit since Honda and Toyota are VERY reliable, they would make even better reliable hybrid cars!

  • Comment removed

  • Wait, you said Honda Insight was the first Hybrid, so that would mean Honda has original hybrid technology, not GM. I'll go look it up and send a link proving GM didn't start hybrids.

  • gmminivans9968 is a retarded dumb ass that gm probably pays to go onto youtube and protect gm while tring to ruin other brands. dumb ass gm minivans

  • Okay, well. Yeah, you gotta pay for OnStar, but it is excellent. Just like you gotta pay for Xbox Live because it is better, but you don't pay for PSN because it sucks.

  • these minivans top ford, and gm by miles

you just wont admit it gmminivans

  • don't listen to GMminivans9968. He doesn't know shit about minivans. Chevy being more popular than Honda and Toyota combined? LOL.

  • but this isnt even GM. its dodge and caravan.

  • Lol. Actually, it's Dodge and Chrysler.

    But yes. LIL', you're right.

  • I think previous model 2001-2007 has more good looking shape...

  • i agree withg you, i drive a 1998 sport dodge caravan

  • love them! they look amazing! but why does Chrysler need a version? isnt that product overlap? you can build a Dodge almost the same way you can a Chrysler. WAY better then Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Hyundai/Kia Minivans.

The style is very unique and BOLD! it screams CHRYSLER IS BACK!

  • Chrysler Minivans are the #2 Leasder in Minivan while the Pontiac Montana Sv6 Contiunoe to be #1 In Canada

  • My parents had a Montana, it was great. Smooth ride quiet and the most comfortable seats. Although, the acceleration was a bit touchy, i liked driving it.

  • bah... Mopar or No Car

  • I wanted to see more of the swivel chairs. Touchscreen is a nice feature for sure.

  • when is chrysler ever going to wake up and show start the trend of diesels into north america? the caravan's garbage 3.3L V6 (175 hp) is incredibly outdated. the 3.0L diesel (215 hp) that they currently only use in the Grand Cherokee would be perfect in these vans, along with the 300. 750km/450m to the tank with decent torque and power.

  • that is a great engine (3.0L) the 4.0L in the new RT minivan is good, but the 3.0L Diesel feels like a Hemi...well not exactly. Chrysler has a 2.0L diesel (Volkswagen), but they won't sell it in the U.S. b/c they say it is too dirty. In a Jeep Compass it can get 60mpg at 60mph. I think it is bullshit that the company doesn't push hard enough. Chrysler's mgmt i think sometimes is in their own world.

  • tHERE NICE VANS BUT NOT EOGUTH ROOM OR SPACE I CONSIDER SOMEONE BUYING THE PONTIAC MONTANA SV6 ITHER IN CANADA OR MEXICO MARKETS AS THEY ARE THE #1 MINIVAN

GM US STOP SELLING THEM IN THE USA

  • I have an 08 with a 4.0 with 251 hp the danr thing is awesome. i can out run bmws 3series in it!

  • Torque is impressive too - like the old Jeep 4.0L

  • i Like These! and i Agree with Oberheim345 about The Whole Rusting Thing In 15 Years cuz Morons cant take of their cars

  • hey this is tommy call me later

  • Who fucking cares, they are minivans...

  • you obviously feel bad that you brought a sienna or an odyssey to soon, lol!

  • Another crappy american car!

  • I like 'em...much better looking than the current (2001-2007) vans. whats sad is 15 years from now, Ill be seeing these sputtering down the road all rusty with the muffler being held on with duct tape and half the front end missing.

palebeachbum, it seems that the trend with domestics recently is back to the boxy look...I guess its to contrast with all the super-sleek, aerodynamic cars of the 90s *cough* TAURUS* caugh*

  • It's interesting how American luxury car makers are trying to be more European like in styling and driving nature, while American minivans were and still are very much doing their own thing. The exteriors are more idividual looking that any previous generation and look great I think. I just think all these exclusive features are a ploy to "one-up" the compentition, but if you look close enough, you realize what poor design those gimmicks truly are.

  • Hmmm...I am not too crazy about the exterior. The interior though and the latest upgrades and options are nice. Would the swivel and go middle seats also stow and go? It would be nice if it could do both

  • Yes, they do both.

  • Looks like a Kia, wtf is wrong with Chrysler designers? Looks like a cereal box, where's the fancy cool and modern design of the previous models re-designed?

  • All the fancy and unique features seem really poorly conceptualized. Trying to have unique features at the expense of less functionality. Why put a console-type shifter on the dash? What's not fuctional with the column shifters? Note the COMPLETE LACK of any legroom with the "swivel and go" seating with the table. I hope you're used to sitting with your knees between other peoples legs. Stupid. Why are all the American minivans going boxier, while the Japanese ones are going futuristic sleek?

  • Console-type shifter on the dash seem to be the fad these days. Look at the Toyota, Honda and the other minivan brands - they all have it. I am not really sure how I feel about them

  • It's the new trend, and seems like nothing more than an attempt to do something different, not improve the product. So I say thumbs down. A column-shifter makes a heck of a lot more sense. No wasted dash space for a dash mounted console shifter, and column-shifers are more user friendly. As the saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

  • Both the Toyota Sienna and the Honda Odyssey have shifters in the console, so this is not unique to Chrysler/Dodge. 'All the American minivans going boxier'? Beach, where have you been? Both Chevy and Ford BAILED out of the minivan market some time ago. Just my opinion, but boxy isn't bad...why must Chrysler mimmick every detail dished up by the Japanese brands? There's something to be said for being individual! I think the styling is great.

  • Typical American excess. The function of a minivan should first and foremost be to safely and depedably haul people and cargo. Master that, then worry about stupid gimmicks like interior mood lighting, entertainment systems, and big shiny wheels. Nowadays what seems to matter more is how flashy a vehicle is, not if it's even worthy of being called transportation.

  • It's probably built as poorly as all the previous Caravans which includes the SUPER cheapo-semi independent rear suspension. That for me is the first sign that the rest of the vehicle is just plain cheap.

Dodge, celebrating more than 50 years of mediocrity.

P.S.- Where the heck are the electric vans??? Hmmm?

  • I prefer the 2006 style. It looks to mutch like the old montana

  • i work at the plant where they r built.hope you buy one

  • daaam toughend up dodge version.

  • Caravans haven't been fun sence the 2.5 turbos.. ;)

  • cool car
