If you like The Village, you should watch the Twilight Zone episode A Message From Charity. It's on Youtube. Both open with a funeral, combine the modern and the colonial, both have a "race" to a rock (Bear Rock in Charity, and Resting Rock in The Village), and the music playing during the funeral in A Message From Charity is similar to Noah Visits.
the film is 1 of best eva made, tho wen i 1st watchd in n u find out the creatures r the villagers dressed up, i almost walked outa the cinema, but if you forget that n watch the film for a film its got 1 of best idea's eva :) love it n the music is amazing
@9Elle2 I think it had an interesting idea, but does not really do anything with it. Also I feel like M.Night recked his career by his need to have a twist ending to everything. Its technically well crafted, but I do not think its works on a dramatic level.
No, really. that is a beautiful statement. It really is true. when music is really, really good it stirs up your soul in a way nothing else can...
For me it still amazes me that when I hear a new soundtrack or album it makes me think of entire new ideas for story's. and the way it makes my heart beat a little faster...It's just a great part of life.
Listening to this soundtrack makes me feel like I'm taking a lonely walk through the forest on a windy, cloudy fall day. I love this music - still more, I love Nightwish (agreed, Tuomas is a brilliant writer). And apparently we share a fantastic taste in music, because I also love The Phantom of the Opera. I never knew there were others...
@missLaughOutLoud96 I am a huge fan of Nightwish, and I also loved this movie when it first came out, but I never really appreciated the music or even the film as much as I do now after having heard Tuomas describe how close it was to him. I wonder how many other Nightwish fans have come here just to listen and watch the movie because of him as well. It is remarkable to see how all of us strangers can be united through such powerful, soul touching music.
@TrixieSatyr yes..,it's so beautiful,isn't it?..the way all of us can be united through Tuomas' heavenly music..Through his music all the pain and the unhappiness are gone..I will never be thankful enough..He is a Poet,the true Angel Of Music..His music makes me cry but in a relieving way..Through his music I learnt to find happiness in small,daily things,I..I just can't express my feelings...my respect for Tuomas...His music is exactly as you described it:"soul touching and powerful"..
@missLaughOutLoud96 I completely agree! It's something I wish for everyone, to be able to find something so meaningful in such a personal way. Tuomas' songs are full of emotion, even though the man has difficulty expressing himself in words. He is a true artist in that, though-- how he pours his very soul into the notes and lyrics. I honestly can't imagine finding that in any other music. But this soundtrack sure comes close. James Newton Howard must have a true sense of the beauty innocence.
@TrixieSatyr I totally agree with you!!!(again ;D)Even though I don't know Tuomas personally, just by listening to his music and watching his interviews I feel like I know a small part of him...I believe that this happens because he hasn't separeted his entity from his music:They somehow seem to complete each other...I really don't know how to explain...I just want to say that I admire him very much for this...I've never witnessed anyone so genuine in this way...

@missLaughOutLoud96 That's absolutely right...
it's sometimes hard to me to imagine that this music was composed by human beings.
