It's called the "gust factor". Say the winds are 180 @ 12 gusting to 22. We'd take half the difference (10/2=5) and add 5 knots to our approach speed. This is in a 172. I'm sure these guys add a few knts more than I would in the lil' cessna.
normally with strong crosswind wouldnt the planes have to come in at a faster speed to account for gusting/ air penetration? maybe thats why they all seem to come in so fast and end up balloning under ground effect.
yeah you are correct. A lot of these planes are going about 15-20 knots faster than there assigned landing speed. The FMC calculates the landing speed based on weight, these pilots are doing about 15 more than that in case theres wind direction change, wind sheer, thats why when most of them flare, they go back up.
the second and third one encountered ground effect which ballooned them back up from the ground! a result of approaching faster than the ideal landing speed/winds are high!
seems like it took the easyjet longer to touch down as it was flying just over the runway and didn't managed to touch down, like the ryan air as well.

well
best tach for landing on stronge cross wind is to put more power at flare
and keep it untell touch down
or at least if u dont want to put power
then just keep the apraoch power
untell touch down
