amazing ! seems so complicated to choose and pull the right lever, and so many are to be moved back and fro, just for what seems a short trip. And this old man sitting in the corner of the signal box, peacefully reading ! catastrophic consequences if the wrong lever is actuated, but he just does'nt seem to bother strange athmosphere I like it
Uncanny, the other side of the world, yet the same lever colours. Yeah, who nicked the block shelf? And worrieingly hesitant about which levers to pull on the last move. Anyone watching what he was doing? wouldn't mind betting that lot didn't have interlocking, didn't appear to be TCB.
the lever colours are standed on all nsw lever frames. it dosent have a block shelf mainly it dosent connect to the main line and every day except sunday has 1 train running. he is going for his signaling test to become a signaler so he has to be carefull cause you fail if you try to pull the wrong lever. btw the signal box is interlocked
Each colour denotes a different function. Black - points. Red- stop signal, Blue - FPL, white - spare etc etc. On the face plate there is normally a sequence of numbers that say what has to be pulled to unlock that particular lever.
yep this is a torist railway in the blue mounains 10 mins from lithgow (nsw) and only 1 train running most days. sundays and special events there is 2 or more. this is a sunday with trainee signallers.
