Scoped shotguns are far from uncommon, especially among hunters. Its probably a rifled barrel for firing sabot slugs. If so, I'm willing to bet that he's practicing for deer hunting.
And why bother with skeet when you can blast some slugs downrange? :)
i know yours is an old comment but... he is likely a cop by looking at his gear, clothing, and the fact that its not a standard gun range (targets moving left to right are uncommon on "civilian" or recreational ranges). its not uncommon to see shotguns with scopes attached when it comes to law enforcement or hunting when the primary role of the weapon is to fire sabot slug shells.
Hes probably wearing armor because its best to fire your weapons with the weight that you would be carrying around in a dangerous situation. You also could have limited mobility so its best to train with all your gear on so that when it comes time to actually use lethal force, you know what to expect as far as mobility goes.
There are no particular recoil in this gun... I have one my self, and have shot over 2000 rounds with it with different types of ammo... The buckshot kicked a bit,but nothing scary...
agreed...countless cases of people reverting to some bs range rules under stress. Your screwing up any kind of "tactical" skills with static shooting range silly ones. Practice follow up shots without dropping the shotgun everytime.
depens whether it's a 2.75" or 3" slug. and how heavy the slug is... 1oz or 1 1/4oz. it's nice firing Federal 3" 1 1/4oz slugs... shotguns don't kick much. my sister shoots them no prob.

I know him. That is a shooting range in Japanese Hyogo Prefecture.
He is just a electric technician for subway.
There is GEEK to yearn for special force everywhere.
It is a body armor like imitation that he wears.

why do you wear body armor?

a lot of agencies require that you wear your armor when your training, if he's law enforcement

kinda rifle-bullet for a shotgun. buckshot ammo has several projectiles, a slug is/has only one.
