This song just jamz, plain and simple!! The video is just plain funny, how they are feelin' the funk is just classic, lol @ 00:13!! They gettin' it!! It makes you wanna get up and start actin' "IGNANT"!!
This was the jamm in 1982, the "Alligator Woman" album was one of the best releases that year, Cameo is one of the funkiest groups of that era, without question.
Cameo was the sh*t back in the day! Nobody was funkier! They had so much energy and presence! I'm so glad that there are still people around who appreciate them the way I do!
yo, i remember when BET started playing video's on video soul- this was one of the eight video's that would play every damn night. And every night i would have my lil ass in front of the television ....CLASSIC! i love it.
Yeah, according to an interview with Donnie Simpson and VJ from the Time Machine Radio show, BET only had 25 videos by mid-1983 which is not alot - if you look at my playlist: Video Soul Platinum (black videos from 1977 to 1982), BET played some of the same videos every night because of the station's limited budget.
...........and out of that playlist, less than 20 videos got BET play. Others were probaly not shown on until 1984 or 1985 when they would throw in a flashback here and there on Video Vibrations.
Video Soul was the joint, but I was sooo young back then. We didn't get BET until 1987, but I heard that back in 1981-82 (before Donnie Simpson was host of Video Soul), that Virgil Hemphil was the host and the show ran for only a half hour. All I know is that they played many of the same videos for the week and Earth Wind & Fire's "Let's Groove" was the first video played on Video Soul.
1980's videos were the heart of BET and BET untapped a market of young black people who were'nt gettin' anything outta MTV, because they would'nt play black videos when the station came out. All these black videos from Prince, Gap Band, Kool & The Gang, Cameo, The Commodores, Lakeside, Shalamar, Earth Wind & Fire, Ray Parker Jr, Junior, Rick James........you name it....existed, but no one, but BET took advantage of them!!!
I like to get drunk & pop-lock to this.

Hey, I haven't seen this video in years. I almost
didn't recognize Larry Blackmon. He had Jheri Curls
and a beard in this video. The Larry Blackmon I know
had a high top fade and a mustdache.

Yeah Larry may look different in other eras, but the voice is still the same! I love Cameo!
