I use a external program I created so that instead of the actual controller being modded I can just hold the trigger like it is a full auto gun. I also use a kill cam/packet cleaner to make it look like I'm shooting normal.

thats debatable. people mod their xbox and controller to shoot semi auto guns (ie G3, M14) fully auto. and to be invincible and able to fly and such. but very few people do it and they get banned so in general no.

i got bored once and it said in the code of conduct you could get banned for it. but i haven't heard of anyone getting banned for rapid fire mods. maybe like the flying ones and i know a guy that got banned for a god mode (invincible) mod.

no the game makers decide on what happens to people with modded controllers.

ex:on COD4 they made an update that limits fire rate on single fire guns.

its kinda anoying to people like me who just happen to have a fast finger.
