Bro, thanks for this reminder but I don't think you should say mawlid is haraam. There's very strong reasons for celebrating it and the scholars of the past have given their reasons. Yes, there is a difference of opinion, but for those that do celebrate it, we shouldn't condemn them. I am for celebrating it, contemplating over this blessed day, reading the seerah etc. Now what goes on in some celebrations, that's a different matter.
Muslims celebrating Valentines.. Ask yourself, do you want to restore the Sunnah of RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa 'sallam) or restore the same pagan festivals he removed?

A friend of mine, has a daughter about 7 years old, and in America schools do Valentines Day with like...setting up 2 kids together as Valentines, candy, etc.
After seeing this video, she decided to check her daughter out of school early, before the big Valentines event, Alhamdulilah.

its a personal choice if people want to celebrate it is up to them and those who think its wrong should not celebrate it.
