when I used the fire move (first combo) my hit only does 4 hits, and after attacks the countege go to zero (I lost the combo) and then Sol hit the oponent =/

noob question here:

I have a problem with SW loop: enemy techs it right after he has bounced of the wall which (of coгrse) breaks whole combo! Is the some trick to be done to prevent enemy from techin' SW?

@pavelsua You have to perform a clean hit, where you basically hit the sweet spot which can vary anywhere between your opponents abdomen and head depending on who you are doing the combo against. You'll hear a nice clunk and the move will become untechable for a while when you succeed. Also it says "CLEAN HIT" on the screen when you succeed.

@Johnnyyfreeze Nope. If you do a "clean hit" grand Viper then you should be able to follow up with a combo. Some characters will be able to recovery before they land on the ground, but you are able to get in a 2HS before that happens.

Burst is one way getting out, but it is not always available, some players will either save the burst for more critical moments and you can even bait shit like that.

And you are asking me about aerial recovery? But answer this first... Do you know what the term Black BEAT means in Guilty Gear? I'll wait for your reply and I'll answer your Aerial Recovery question.

@NicoIshrael if the combo is guaranteed then there is NO window for aerial tech/recovery. The only option is to burst. And thats only if you have one stocked. You'll also know if the combo is guaranteed if the number count doesn't black beat as stated by guambombboy. You can sight this by noticing a color transition in the numbers from a sky blue to a black or dark blue. So in other words, all of these combos are guaranteed. By the way, Do you have any matches or works of your gg skills? No? OK.

I saw @ the command screen that you can make volcanic viper longer by 'pressing S more times' as I understood that... but I never get it any longer, how can I do it?

It is Grand Viper where he goes along the ground. Volcanic Viper is her uppercut. But you have to pretty mush mash left and right + S and HS.

Well, I use a PS2 controller, so this is what I do:

I slide my right thumb across S+HS and P+K while sliding across left and right with my left thumb. If you're going to do that, be careful that you don't RC the move.

Actually, you can use any direction you want, but you should use only two buttons if you have more than 50% tension, since if you use three or more, you'll probably get a roman cancel.

In Guilty Gear Accent Core, a combo cannot be recovered from if the word "BEAT" on the combo counter stays gold. If it goes black, then that mean the combo continues, but your opponent could have escaped. Also, the enemy during these combos were set to recover on the first frame possible.

Btw, these are basic combos, you should see a combo video called Outstanding Sol Combos. The combos shown on that video takes comboing to its limits.

Just started playing GG for the wii, that move that you at 0:02-0:04 I can only make it go to 4 hits, how do you make it go to 9?

On the PS2 controller you have to consecutively hit Hard Slash and Slash while hitting left and right to lengthen the Grand Viper.

Try hitting the Hard Slash and Slash buttons while shaking the Nunchuck, that might work.

Generally people say S and HS but it works with any two buttons (except dust? The move is so stupid)

The input should be the same as the arcade, which is essentially direction+two buttons on each hit. The easiest way to do this is to go back-forward and two buttons (so pick whichever set your thumb is best at switching between, I use P and S) and since there's no penalty for extra presses, vibrate away.

You can get 8 hits and not have a clean hit sometimes, you have to stop sooner charactercount

There are setups that get a clean hit without the full 8, like 2Kc5S6P>Grand viper in the corner (or just 5K6P) and you can even get a clean hit after the command throw if you time it right but why would you do that, you can just jump Slash, lol

Except the PSP version that you must send a proof of purchase and send it to Aksysgames to reclaim the CD
