Grotesque Tactics Turn-based RPG Parody for PC OLD VERSION

One thing about turn based games of today.... When ever you see that grid under the characters, you know that's a game to pass on. NOT like Final Fantasy turn based style games. The FF series and games alike back in the days did it right. Turn based has sadly become a lost art now. There's only one company that can bring back true turn based RPGs, and that company is not targeting that kind of game at the moment. Damn... Would love a good old RPG that plays like FF9,8,7 or 10.

@palpdaddy That grid you see underneath implies that it's a turn-based TACTICS rpg. This means that characters move around the playing area like it was a chess board. Yes, Final Fantasy TACTICS was a great game. As was tactics ogre. FF 9, 8 and 7 were turn-based but not tactics style. Before you act like a nostalgic rpg connoisseur maybe you should do your research first.

@Alexandurs yeah the camera is crap. you're gonna wanna go into controls and change it so that it uses wasd or or 4568 for camera instead of 2468 on the numberpad. it's probably worth 5$ but not 20$

We imroved the camera with the epic patch: 1.2 yesterday, lots of others improvements like graphic , archivements for steam, faster gameplay and day/night routine.

Just joined the team in time to help develop the sequel and wanted to note that this game has come a long way since this trailer was made. The series was greatly influenced by classic console tactics games, so old-schoolers will find lots to love here. The english translations are much better, bottom line: this game is a blast, I loved getting familiar with it. It's fairly short but I couldn't play it just once.

And yes, it is available on Steam now.

kinda frustrating. text speed is too slow even at max setting. You have to hold down left click for it to scroll faster. It shouldn't scroll the text to begin with. Only cool in that it's the first PC 3d tactical roleplaying, you can run around with WSAD. It mocks RPG cliches rather than makes it actually interesting or new, it's more boring than funny. Wish they made something as good as the old FF tactics but everything seems to be dumbed down.

Great game, only with some small flaws:

-Is there no char sound in english version, or am I simply retarded?

-The texts are sometimes slow

-The camera and the controll seems to be funny, the controls seem to be overreactive most of the time, while the camera get stuck if i zoom too much

P.S.: Gona put u guys whereevah i can, might generate u some revanue :D

hm, my gameplay's a bit off.. the lag between conversation text is always slow..tried it with both 'auto text whathcamacallit' on and off. any tips?

You guys should work on your marketing. I played the german demo and this video doesnt really do it justice. The humor is fantastic. Is there any way that we can see a comparison of the english and german language cast or even better, is there a way to switch the languages of the version once bought (including spoken text) if so, then where can i buy that version because in that case i would surely buy it. (I probably would even if that wouldnt be possible).

I can understand that you guys dont have a lot of cash to spend on advertisement, and i read recently about how much money big developers spend on advertisement. Often times that is even more then is being spend on advertising then on development and from what i saw in the demo the game is really great. Thanks for the answer, then i will buy it in german.
