No wonder poor Michael's confused lol. So would I be if I didn't already have my faith and belief in what the Bible teaches us. He said he doesn't know but that he believes in something and that he still prays. To me, that means there is something still there....which is wonderful!! The fact he's not sure about organized religions, tells me that he's seen the hypocrisy that goes on in most of them and wants no part of it! In the end, only God and his son, Jesus know Michael's heart....not us!

@StompinDino As a performer with, I may say, a pretty incredible voice (LOL), I can tell you wholeheartedly that it takes more than that to get famous - MUCH more! You have to have a vision of what you want, courage, a way with people that you work with/audition for. It's all pretty scary and you feel so alone most of the time. So, what better way to find that vision, and find yourself, than purposefully believe in Something/someone who can be with you on the journey? Trust me, prayer is huge!

Respectfully I don't understand how someone can stand to not know what they believe in as Michael seems to. If you think that there is any possibility that we were created by a supreme being wouldn't you seek him/her out? I believe in the God of the bible, and I know what I believe in. @StompinDino As a performer with, I may say, a pretty incredible voice (LOL), I can tell you wholeheartedly that it takes more than that to get famous - MUCH more! You have to have a vision of what you want, courage, a way with people that you work with/audition for. It's all pretty scary and you feel so alone most of the time. So, what better way to find that vision, and find yourself, than purposefully believe in Something/someone who can be with you on the journey? Trust me, prayer is huge!

No one makes it unless they have one of three possible things: 1. a faith in something (which in this case is God) 2. a particular look that is appealing to whatmusic producers think is going to be the next big hit (trust me, sell yourself however hard as you can, but if you don't have the look then you'll be like the millions who have tried and failed.) 3. the right direction. The right direction of your music is key to setting trends

And it seems he is earnestly seeking his own truth, while keeping a light heart about it :-) Michael, I respect and admire your candidness in admitting your agnostic views -- I'm right there with you! But see, this way I respect my pastors and since nothing they've ever taught me hasn't helped me I go to Church as much as I can. Religion is, not to be offensive to those who are these things, like Muslims who HAVE to wear a covering over their head if they're a girl, or Mormons who HAVE to have a Bishop, so on so forth. Michael, be who you are and don't care about offending or appeasing anyone in regards to your faith. There is no reason that you need to even mention Buddha, Jehovah, or praying to the Universe because others out there may. You are who you are, a Catholic, so nothing else needs to be discussed. Only that you are glad that you have the true faith, the one true Church Christ birthed while on earth and has guaranteed the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Keep praying,.and for the world!

By being uncomfortable about this subject, he shows he is really lost in terms of faith. He seems like a good man and it is a shame that he feels like a dork about admitting that he slept with a bible and prayed very hard to become what he is now, even though he recognized it "obviously worked"...
I hope now that he has been given the gift of having such a talent, one day he'll be granted with the gift of faith again since it is so much more important than singing pretty and being famous.

Plus by losing terms of faith they mean in the Christian religion, such a person has fallen away from the truths of the bible and have turned to other things. The universe, Budha, all of that stuff. He doesn't know what he believes in and that's a bad position to be in. Hate to burst your bubble but they're not all the same thing.
