"The people bled white to pay for foreign wars"...nothing has changed since the Normans came to ravage our land and many others besides.Yet in history books we read about how they 'made England great'.They also gave England a colonial past which still causes us problems to this day.
How refreshing! Can you imagine that this would be screened today? A bit too close to the mark.It mentions the oppressive Norman yoke and the wretched 'forest laws',which meant villages were cleared or left in dense woodland,in which they were not even allowed to gather firewood or take a rabbit for their family.
