how do you record the sound? I have the same solution: dogcam and 605 and unfortuneately there is no preamplifier for themicrophone. Do you use the archos helmet camera for sound?

The microphone I have connects into the AV connector along with the video. No need for a preamplifier. Look at the dogcam website for the microphone.

How do you edit your fotage from the archos,I have 4 hours of fotage and cant edit nothing.

I use windows movie maker (comes with XP). You will need to install codec software (video file decoder). I use Divx (google).

4 hours of video will produce huge files!!

Did you need any extra cables etc. to hook the camera up to the Archos 404? I'm considering getting one of these for myself to record my MTB trips, but I'm unsure whether the Archos supports external cameras out of the box.

As far as I know you just need a 3 plug phono to AV plug cable . I've just bought an Action cam ( 520 ), my recording source is a sony digital tape cam, I'll have to get an archos 404.

Is this the classic situation where the rider in front is thinking, "I must not let him overtake me", whilst the rider in back is thinking, "I must overtake him"?

That type of thinking gives me additional speed when I must make a climb and also increases my heart rate to the maximum. A good workout!

Nah! You should look at my other tunnel videos, I usually go through a lot faster! However, there isn't much space to pass, so I usually hang behind them so long as they are going at a reasonable speed.

It is a good workout though! :-)
