  • thumbs up if u brought your self here we need this sweet classic rock today not some stupid lady gaga and im 11 so anybody OLDER than me must be real stupid listen to ke$ha and that junk

  • ... all night long track... love Al Green

  • Cadillac music

  • If i was alive in 1974 i would take him and lick all over his sexy ass body. mmmmm.....

  • SON-OF-GUN; JUST MADE IT!!! In 1973 "Here I Am {Come and Take Me}' " peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 15 weeks in the Hot Top 100...

This song was one of three Top 10 hits from Mr. Green's smash album "Call Me"; the other two were "You Ought To Be With Me" {#3} and "Call Me (Come Back Home) {#10}...

  • Real shit

  • AAAALLLL GRRREEENNN!!!!!!!

  • swwwwaaaaahhhhhhgggggggg!

  • 6 people wouldn't know good music if it bit them on the tail.

  • Massacre en texas wujajajajjajaj

  • fuckin epic song

  • 6 people cant achieve an eragasm

  • THE BEST MUSIC ,MAKING MEMPHIS THE SPOT ALWAYS BY THE LOVEMAN;ISIAHLOVE@GMAIL.COM smallcap

  • Ayyyeeeeee HERE i AM bayby

  • Thumbs up if your thinking of susan!

  • @cjagostino..I just appreciate all GOOD music and actually take the time to search and listen no matter the genre. I'm not surprised when people say that about rap but that just goes to show you they're only listening to what's fed to us through radio. There are PLENTY of incredible artists out there with a vocabulary unmatched by few. But what sells these days is something totally different.

  • We all love and respect Al Green, but please dont try to speak for all rap music because you don't like it and cannot relate. Who the hell thinks Waka Flocka is PURE rap?lol please!! Pop in a Rakim or Nas album and appreciate a REAL wordsmith. Creative? Can you do it?.......

  • @BenthereDonthat08 thats the first decent argument with good examples ive heard for rap since i was in middle school in the mid nineties

  • @BenthereDonthat08 Add Saul Williams to that list as well.

  • this is the kind of song you listen once and remember forever.I remember listening to this song somewhere being a kid and been searching for it for years till I found out it was Al Green.

  • Susan Mayer Brought Me Here!

  • HE KNOW HE BE SINGING THIS SONG

  • Who sings the more recent one?

  • @soridosuneku UB40

  • Slapper

  • Im lovin u n me baby!!

  • yo.... im so young but this the jam right here.

  • One of the few songs I would call perfect.

  • Seriously good music.

  • The first R&B song I ever heard...have not looked back since.

  • Another one sexy

  • I thought it was UB40's song!!!

Ali Campbell sings it with just a bit more selfeffacing hope and longing though;)

  • @yamijanakaratoprak almost all of there songs are covers from others... I can`t name a hit that is not a cover..

  • @BlackKasuari -Food for thought-, One in ten-, The earth dies screaming-, Dont break my heart-, Kingston town-, Sing our own song; all hits, all quality songs, all originals written by UB40 themselves.

  • @yamijanakaratoprak kingston town is a song from Lord Creator. But you're right..that got some hits that are not covers... but most of their hits are still covers.. But they did them all in UB40 style and thats a good thing.

  • @yamijanakaratoprak Kingston town?! Lord Creator!

  • @BlackKasuari others who?!. .

  • @Atunes77 google who sampled ub40

  • @yamijanakaratoprak longing to be even as smooth and sexy sounding as ol al lol.. not even a comparison :P

  • @ashleyh81 Absolutely, Ali Campell sings it like he feels it. Old Al is bold as brass here, boasting like a torn trumpet ... indeed miles away from any comparison, nothing smooth about it ;)

  • so funky

  • i remember being in memphis when al was just a local act. I never imagined the heights in music he would reach internationally.

  • The year was? 1971 maybe? Anyway, I was with my Dad (RIP Pop) in Madison, IL on our way to his softball game in his 1967 Chevy Impala...this song came on the radio and I was HOOKED!! Classic AL GREEN, singing with so much SOUL (like he always does!) with that incomparable Memphis sound: Smooth rhythm guitar chords, bumpin' drumbeat, brass horns grabbin' you by the shorthairs, hammond B-3 organ chillin' you right down to your toes!! WOW! This music is timeless!!!

  • Soul music at it finest...gods gift to the world !!!!

  • I'm looking for the live version he did on soul train with a broken arm

  • @djgentleknight thats what brought me here...I was watching a documentary about Soul Train and it showed parts of that performance....gave me goosebumps.

  • @skrooloose121 I SAW THAT TOO :)! i was looking for it as well. SO good

  • @djgentleknight I remember watching that some months back. He was killing it on Soul Train, broken arm and all.

  • Old School

  • damn

  • OK OK there was so much time between the songs ... I agree.

and there was nothing better .... ok ok, maybe ... :-)

  • This take is way better than the trashy "you are so beeautiful", that was FLUSHED THROUGH GERMANY back then. I didn't care but just wondered about the strange taste the disc choosers had.

  • this shit is d bomb ;b love it.

  • HERE I AM BABY,COME AND TAKE ME!

  • Just awesome in every way...

  • XD

  • Al....you know how to say it.

  • Al....you know how to say it.

  • 3 PEOPLE are actually offsprings of Hitler.

  • who are the 3 dislikes tho? UB40 fans lol... really...

  • this is the best song to get a girl to fall for you, al is a great musician and a great pick up line! sing that @$%#

  • I just love this song....I cant get enough of it! The funny thing was listening to UB40s version as a kid and thinking it was such a great song. Little did I know, that it was just really a mediocre cover song by them and there isnt even a comparison to the original. Go ahead Al....sing that s$&t ! I really wish music was like this nowadays.......full of real talent, soul, and meaning.

  • @fightinirish409 i know right he and marvin gaye were soo good unlike the trash black vocilists sing now the only two words in a rap song nowadays is nigga and dick,AND PEOPLE FUCKING BUY THERE CDS MAN IT GETS ME SO PISSED OFF WHEN MY FRIEND AT SCHOOL SAYS FLOCKA WAKA IS BETTER THAN GOD DAMN AL GREEN! I WANT TO PUCH HIM IN HIS FAT FUCKING FACE!

  • @fightinirish409 if you want to really hear a good version check out al browns version.

  • @allendaniel89 Thanks for the heads up....just listened to it, love it. Never even knew about it....

  • Awesome Song :)

  • There is nothing like Al Green! Classic

  • STILL gives me GooseBumps!XO

  • Saw this on a commercial for Soul Train's OnDemand menu and cant stop listening to it

  • @the16cool I was thinking about that performance. He brought the place down on Soul Train with this song, broken arm and everything.

  • @RaynMan718 I didn't mean they didn't have respect for him, I ment couldn't do this

music justice. I didn't mean to ruffle your fathers. By the way have you ever heard any

  • Man I a 25 year old Mexican that listens to blues and heavy metal and I know that this music was when music was played. And I'm a musician!!! There wasn't a fucking casio keyboard. It was a real horn section!! No much better. More feel and soul! I love that little bit of mic bleed from them playing together

  • @fendrhead actually i do hear an electric organ in there. but i know what you mean, i feel the same way about the lack of talent in modern pop music. it's sad.

  • ahhhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oooooooooooooooo
