  • LLLLUST!

  • I want to know what that green stuff in his fridge was.

  • i like how he has a shower Curtain as a map

  • LUST!!!

  • Kellogg eventually encouraged the Graham diet and also added his own ideas with his grainy cold cereal brands. Again - to stop lust.

  • obviously Ghram never had kids

  • KRIEGER!!!

  • She took all my crackers.

  • Corsets, eh? Don't let Mr. Graham find out about the Internet!

  • "They cause insanity, you know!!" Good grief, now i know what insane crew member to use for vocal impressions.

  • those (gestures) needs to go off his face anyways.....lol

  • LOL I love how e is always robbed of his food

  • recoil53 - cherry/olive pitter by its very name is not a unitasker.

  • what's this? single purpose tool!

  • Cut sheet cake equally, pasta for stuffing, marshmallows, etc.

    So not a unitasker.

If anybody has dealt with kids, they know how important it can be to cut things to the same size.

He has allowed the cherry/olive pitter as a unitasker, IIRC.

He really didn't begin that until a couple seasons in. I guess the tools started piling up.

  • Ooops sorry about the low rating. I misclicked by accident when trying to hit the play button. I love good eats. =S

  • They proved the poppy thing on MythBusters too.

  • "Now, once upon a time, the evil bakers used something like this *holds up old wooden cracker-poker-thingy while Dvorak's 9th symphony 1st movement plays in background*"

One thing I don't like about this episode is that they messed up the octaves of the 9th symphony... grr...

But still, we may not cook, but my father and I really enjoy watching this show.

  • i think that is the only time that i will disagree with AB. Poppy seeds do make u fail drug tests. happened to my mom and watched food detectives on food Network.

  • "our cracker heritage" ha ha ha

  • I'm not sure I care for his new haircut.

  • I agree, midlife crisis. I miss the Alton of Raising the Steaks. He'll get over it eventually :)

  • 'She took my crackers" XD

  • @Pyroblazer EAT MORE BLAND FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

  • @khesed BLand fooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

  • Graham died at 57? Maybe he'd lived longer if he'd listened to those "aching sensibilities" on occasion.

  • Also, love that accordion cutter AB has. Where does he find all those awesome culinary gadgets?

  • In this case, it is certainly a professional baker's tool. If you are a pastry chef, you have to cut up a bunch of stuff evenly.

  • Don't forget that AB is a licensed chef, so im guessing he knows where to get all the utensils the pros have.

  • If you type in "accordion cutter" in Amazon, you can find them for about $20.

  • All the same, even if it is relatively inexpensive, doesn't an accordion cutter seem a little at odds with AB's "No-Unitaskers" policy? I only really thought about it because he followed the accordion cutter with the docking, and he insisted it wasn't necessary for gadgets for the latter.

  • AB has proven over and over again the multitude of tasks of the simple pizza cutter. That said, I would suggest to review any other instance where AB utilizes the pizza cutter and ask yourself, could the accordion cutter be used? If you're answer is more than one, then it's obvious the accordion cutter is a multi-tasker.

  • I suppose!

Something that comes to mind is AB cutting marshmallows into squares with the pizza cutter (Food Network says this is in the episode "Puff The Magic Mallow".) I'm still not sold, though!

If the accordion cutter can be used in all pizza cutter applications save the actual cutting of pizza, doesn't that make it a redundant tool? I guess redundancy isn't evil in AB's kitchen.

  • @WombatRider its not a unitasker, you can cut pizza with it. and damn im late on this comment

  • @WombatRider AB uses the NO UNITASKERS argument to tell the novice cook that you can use existing tools in the kitchen instead of shelling out money on things that one would use once and never again.

  • @WombatRider

consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds - Ralph Waldo Emerson

No offence intended... hey he often will use special devices ... not that he acctually recommendes them.

Check out his book "Gear for your Kitchen" and you will understand

  • Sounds like the guy who created the Graham Cracker is a close relative to Gary Busey
