Back in the day, good music came from everyway. Now you have to work hard to find it so I'm guessing that's what they mean. You could find a Common Sense (Common), ATCQ, Lyricist Lounge, Das Efx, old school hip-hop folks on these stations and radio during '93 now you can't so it's really up to people to now go and sift through garbage to find a good artist these days, especially in Hip-Hop.
