Hey. How to you keep the crickets from jumping out of the container? I have been looking for a way to feed our Frilly that does not require feeding him one at a time with tweezers! Did you cool them off in the refrigerator first?
ok its official im getting one. at the next Texas show (in Live Oak) i know a couple that sells babies for $150.00 per dragon AND they are all captive bred.
I bet you put your crickets in the fridge for a minute or two so they dont jump and escape the cage huh..I learned this method when i left my crickets in my car for a few hours in cold winter weather!
Hey I found frilled dragon babies in Tucson,Az than asked how much very expensive $249.99 each wow when I get money go to Tucson,Az hope soon I really want them
where did you find him because i have been looking for one and i have talked to other people but they havent answered yet and i need a answer in a few days
You just gotta look around. There are a few pet stores around where i live that have them (one of them is a reptile store). I got mine from a reptile show though. Thankfully everything worked out for us, frillies can be pretty difficult to find though. We went to the reptile show with our fingers crossed.
oh she's a sweetheart. I hold her all the time and she's totally fine with that. Guess I'm just lucky, I got her when she was already a year and a half, so someone took good care of her while she was young
Nice vivarium. Im looking to get a frilly soon and wanted to get some insight from an owner. What (besides crix) do you feed them, how often, and what bulbs are required for lighting? I'd appreciate your input.
She usually gets crickets, they are the easiest to digest, but sometimes she'll get mealworms or superworms too. Sometimes we'll even treat her to a rosie minnow. Just be prepared to feed them A LOT of food, she eats about 15 crickets/day and she eats that fast every day. You need a light with UVB and a fairly large tank (this is her temporary home, she's moving into the 3'x 3'x 4' tank I'm building her this summer). They are really cool and lots of fun, just make sure you do your research!
OH MY GOD THIS LOOKS SO FREAKING COOL WERE DID YOU GET IT!!
