I love my H9 for stills and video. There are optional wide angle and telephoto lenses that screw on the front - I have those too - WOW!! Super camera all around.

Hi, i cant find any review of the sony H10. I want to buy a camera with high zoom and i dont know if buy the h9 or the h10 because i saw a few reviews of the H9 and i like the screen movility and have more zoom than the h10. but i dont know if the h10 is better than h9 for the series (H10>H9, i think=P) sorry if someone dont understand me, thats because i dont write very well in english n_n please help to decide=) o suggest=) thanks!

H9 has 15x optical zoom

H1O has 1Ox optical zoom

so, H9 is better for 5x

H1O takes the place of the H3 one, H5O takes the place of the H9..

H5O has the same 15x oz than H9, but:

H9 has 8.1 megapixeles

H5O has 9.1 megapixeles

Not much more than a few meters... Think of the nightshot as a dim torch which can illuminate subjects within a couple of meters, but not much beyond. In our demo, there was a wall about 3m behind the person and you can't see it...

I got this camera today as an early birthday present. It's really great but I have a problem. Whenever I try to turn on the flash, it says "Flash settings could not be changed". I have no idea what to do since I'm very new at handling cameras. Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? Hopefully in detail as I probably won't understand. Thanks.

Is This Camera If Anyones Tried It Good at taking sunset pictures? Like if im doing it while the suns still above the horizon will the light mess up the picture or is there a setting to help that on this camera? My brother just got a Fujifilm Finepix s-700 and it has a Sunset setting to help with the light, so any help with the would be grateful Thank you.

If any of you guys are interested in purchasing this camera, go for it, you will not regret it. Even though I never owned a DSLR camera, I did owned a couple of other digital cameras. The DSC_H9 is probably the best camera I ever had, I actually went back to the store and bought insurance for this camera, because if something happens to it, this is the camera I'll get again. I LOVE THIS CAMERA, BEST THING EVER. You will not regret it.

i had the same options to chose between, i finally chose the Canon Powershot S5, because of better grip and build quality (optical). I haven't regreted it yet, makes amazing photo's and perfect video. Check my channel for video's made with the Canon S5

Hi emokhtar, I can't comment on the H7 becuase I haven't tested it, but to see what I mean about the H9, have a look at the Gallery and Results pages on the Cameralabs website. The noise and smeraing effect may bother you, or it may not!

I got this camera yet, the H7, and now(after this time) i think that the H7 image quality is same as the H9. the only diff's is that what you know about the LCD and the night shot view. so i regreted that i didn't own the H9 :(((

The DSC-h9 picture Quality sucks major....

i have upgraded from the H5 to the H9, huge mistake.... picture quality is only "good" @ ISO80, anything above that it's terrible.... don;t buy it, het the H5 much better camera!

Well, for me the most important priority seems to be the image quality but in this case I cannot decide, I mean H9 produces pictures with very great colours a bit better than H5, but on the downside the pictures seems to be too much soft and due to the NR there's lack some of the details, I also think of H9 becouse there's still some hope that Sony will release the new upgrade for that cam, so maybe then these problems would dissapear...
