@DumbDecisions they have emergency brakes near the bottom and if those fail they have pistons down the bottom to absorb the force. the riders will all die but the debris wont fly out and kill people down the bottom. and there are no cables. so its all good :D

i went on both those rides last week. I was surprised because the tower doesnt actually shake. (not even slightly). And when your falling so fast your dont notice the other ride beside you. The noise will make you deaf if the G-forces dont kill you first. I was a bit scared becuase the ride broke down TWICE while i was waiting in line!!! Yes, This is the tallest and fastest amusement park ride in the world. Hense how i say ride not rollercoaster. Also, this is the tallest and fastest drop ride/tower of any kind in the world, which includes GYRO DROP and FREEFALL DROP, so be careful when information says "tallest gryo drop in the world". The giant drop is a frefall drop ride.

And the first time I went on it the tower of terror stopped and started falling at exactly the same time, so it shook really hard before it dropped. I went to Dreamworld with my school today! Wooh that was an awesome 6 hours! We went on these rides. My friend lauren was shitting herself when we stopped at the top of the Giant Drop. You just sit there for 2 minutes, then you freefall. Pretty sweet! The TOT was made in 1997. It's nearly 11 years old! We wnet on everything except the Claw. It was closed for maintenance. We were pissed at that! Oh well, still awesome!
