The Rock was defending his title against DX and Shane McMahon - Earl Hebner was there as the Rock's tag partner because Vince McMahon blamed him for Triple H losing the title to the Rock - Vince also thought that Earl was a liability (which was true) and the Rock would never tag out to him (which was also true).

IMO, The Rock = The People's Champion and Earl = The People's Referee :)

This was probably the greatest week of wrestling in history. First you got Backlash 2000, The Rock vs Triple H. Stone Cold helps The Rock win the title on Sunday. Then the next night on Raw is War, the steel cage match. The Rock vs Shane McMahon. The Rock wins that match. Then on Thursday, this match. I mean that was when wrestling was like worth watching. Just outstanding television.

Now the only thing worth watching is the Divas role around in the ring together.

BTW, Rock vs McMahon-Helmsley Faction (particularly HHH) has to rank as one of the great rivalries ever because it killed WCW.
