idk about EB games but some gamestops dont sell xbox games anymore. but u might be able to find it on ps2....its better on xbox tho, u kno better graphics and on half time and sportscenter u get real replays instead of pix.

...no. The stopped because EA bought the rights to the NFL license, legally forcing 2K to stop producing the NFL2K series. 2K5 was even with Madden 05 in fact. Due to that threat EA basically put a monopoly on the NFL brand for Video Games.

@skinsfan2828 no it didnt the reason 2k couldnt produce was because it was all done under the table 2k5 actually stole market share and revenue from EA thats why EA got exclusivility from the nfl to avoid competition

@halomo81 madden made 3.2 million on the ps2 alone while 2k5 made 1.5million on ps2 and 1million on xbox. search 2004 video game sales and you'll see

@skinsfan2828 more sales doesn't equal more money. 2K5 didn't have nearly as much marketing which is a huge expense. Also, Madden at the time (and well still is) was an established franchise. ESPN was still a newcomer to the sports game scene. Selling just over 50% of what madden sold is a huge accomplishment and EA definitely felt some pressure there.

@skinsfan2828 At it's current rate 2K could have possibly made more money with Madden in 2 or 3 more installments, but now we'll never know. No doubt Madden had higher profits overall but 2005 was getting close.
