hey shane, i live in alabama. we have a great lake being lake jordan. though its not the same the weather is similar to that in florida. is it still a good time to fish topwater frog? or should i even do that here?

Casting is an art. A couple of things that help are using the correct rod length/action and using fresh line. I just take advantage of the leverage generated by the back cast. If you load up the rod properly and release at the right time then you should be able to sling it a country mile. Good question!
