  • Very well done! I also love the song in ur vid!

  • Did you buy like the joystick parts or the whole thing together?

  • @sasukeuchhia

I Bought the components and made my own Layout so that it fits my needs.

The metal sheet is made of stainless steel and was drilled and bended by myself.

There are many vendors you could buy each component you need.

  • Can imagine it was pretty difficult to build, but top job persevering with your labour of love back in '08. Honestly, think finishing touches like the bezel look great too. Are you still getting plenty of play out of it? COOL STUFF anyway man!!! :D

  • What are the specs of the computer you used?

  • @techkid100

P4-2,4 GHz; 60GB Harddisk; 1GB RAM; ATI Raedon 9800 Pro

    Just my old PC ;)

  • @ST3INERGER I have an ok PC with a pretty decent processor but it only has about 500mb of ram. Will that still perform well?

  • @HbAvenger

I think all older PC will do it well for the real classic arcade games. Such as Galaga, Pacman, DigDug and so on...

Games wich came out from the 90's and later were designed more complex with a bunch more of sound and gfx processors. This could be a reason for the emulation to become kinda laggy if your specs are too low.

Anyway I got Original JAMMA PCB's wich are laggy in their original condition Oo ;)

  • Nice job, I'm about to start refurbishing a cabinet myself, then building my next one, your video was very inspirational.

  • That's awesome, but I would've went with a CRT monitor for light guns.

  • pardon me for saying it, but it's looking pretty awesome!

  • looks good dude :)

  • Sick!!!

    Soon I'll have mine.

I'm getting the plans ready and to the shop I go.

    Really nice dude!

  • super !!!

  • Nice!!!

  • what is this song

  • nice job dude, i built one and its a slimer and smaller size with a 52' inch display

  • someone help me im trying to build a mini arcade cabinet wit my ps2 in it but i have absolutely no experiance, help please whether a response or website anything please!!!

  • just look on google and type :

    - pad hack (for create joystick that you can plug to your ps2)

    -Build arcade cabinet (self-explanatory)

basicly you will need wood , arcade button & jostick (you can buy them on internet) , a ps2 joystick that you gonna sacrifice (for pad hack) , a tv and obviously tools and tutorial. good luck and have fun.

  • @Linkinpork989

Help is on the way, its called Google. Lazy fvcker...

  • Your roof is low...

    Great work!

  • did you use sanded plywood?

  • No, it's made of 18mm ( 0,7inch) heavy Multiplex Birch wood ;)

  • HUGE! 5/5

  • sf4 cab ftw!

  • Ya know, u coulda bought a arcade machine online. but i guess its fun to make it ur self.

  • great job. The woodworking is super neat

  • Nice cabinet, one of the best i've seen.

  • wood , i mean...not woof lol

  • lol man i just started on somthing like this yesterday, i bought the woof & other supplys, so i went on youtube (now), & was seeing what other peoples looked liked...but i hope mine looks as good as your...5/5

  • As i started to search the internet for tips, plans, hints etc... i found nothing really helpful how to build a sturdy Body of the cab.

So i thought it would come in handy to post the detailed pictures of how I made it.

And believe me this body is VERY sturdy and stiff. I had to tow my cab from the 2nd floor to the basement ... ;)

I wish you a lot of fun building yours.

And share your experience with the community.

  • what is the song

  • Discotronic---The world of Discotronic

  • this is fucking insane man, what a legend. i wanna make a street fighter 2 cab :D that'd be wicked

  • was all the money that you spent on it worth it???? but still its heaps cool

  • Great job on this cabinet! It looks amazing.

  • I'd rather hear audio on how to build one than crappy techno but it still helped.

  • Hi, I really like this, where can i find the design layout? it looks just the size that i want to build. Cheers..

  • Great workmanship... I hope mine comes out half as good as yours!!!!

  • dude do u sell these, cuz that was really good!!!

  • THX! But hell no... this is a unique cab.

You can buy Cabs as self assembly kits. Just search the net. But my opinion of those kits:

    A BIG PILE OF SH*T ! ;)

  • that cab its better than hot chiks dirty panties

  • Very nice, but some games will probably require more buttons, won't they?

  • Of course knsmiley, but just a few.

I Think only 10% of the good old arcade games are using 6 Buttons or more....

I only love play the real old ones....

They rarely need 3 or more buttons.

  • Very cool, thinking of making my own soon.

  • very cool man,it looks like pro made ;)

  • what is the name for the song? what was the specs for the pc?

  • Song:

Discotronic - The World of Discotronic

    Specs:

    Intel Pentium Core E2180 2.0GHz

    AS-Rock Mainboard

    1GB DDR-RAM

    80 GB Seagate HD

    PNY - GF7200GS PCI-E Graphicboard

    Sound Onboard

    Noname Case

  • k thanks! awesome song

  • pretty good could of made the controll pannel a bit bigger to house more buttons

  • Yes, at first I wanted to use a normal TV-Set as Screen. So there was no more Room for a bigger Control Panel. But at last I used a Philips LCD-TV....

For my next Cabinet I'll make it bigger ;)

  • Very nice.

Did you use the defender cabinet layout?

  • Thx!

Yes I used the Defender Layout.

I Just made the cabinet about 30cm (11.8 in) higher than the original.
