  • thank you this is lovely.

  • look at his eyes at 1:13 thats funny. you can hear a guy laighing in the backround afterwards

  • look at his eyes at 1:13 lmfao haha right after that, you can hear a guy slighty laughing afterwards

  • What an unfortunate counter tenor experience - that vibrato must go - entirely too warbly for any comfort in this style!

  • MUCH to fast, poor diction (especially from the tenors at the beginning), all in a horrible acoustic....

  • I cannot read their lips well, Who is the soprano?

    Amazing job!

  • @EmilyDreamed middle guy, balding with beard and glasses

  • It's very good and the group sings incredibly well together as an ensemble - all the lines are very clean and easy. Trouble is it feels inauthentic somehow - the whole song is a jubilant expression about the coming of Jesus Christ and it just feels too civillised somehow. You can sing well and with meaning. chanticleer do often, so not sure what's going on here. Still, picking for the sake of it perhaps.. :)

  • they certainly look like a bunch of gringos, conquistadors, preachers, renegades etc. but the collective sound they make is out of this world....the best a cappella group of all time!

  • It's baldys fault...it only takes one!

  • lol, eric didn't turn a page.

  • Wonderful!

  • This group are great but they should leave this music to English Cathedral Choirs!

  • The top line sounds dreadful - ridiculous vibrato!

  • @sarum1surplice Agreed. Completely. This may be the worst thing I've ever heard coming from Chanticleer. I love the group- I'm a HUGE fan...and I love this peice as well. But this was definately NOT their best song. Horrid blend and balance, wrong tone/style etc throughout the entire counter tenor line. The vibrato just ruined it. :(

  • @sarum1surplice It's a certain soprano's fault. I seem to have found that I enjoy older performances of Chanticleer songs (before he joined the group) more than I enjoy newer performances with him singing in them.
