I'm big fan of the barkers pipes, I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. But if I had to choose something else, I would probably go for the Monster dual exhaust, also very nice. They won't ruin anything, as long as you also add a fuel programmer such as the Power Commander (3 or 5) or the new MSD setup. That will allow you to add more fuel to match the increased air flow from the pipes to keep your air/fuel ratio correct.
Yeah, I believe all the SE models had piggyback shocks No engine mods from the factory, just a few bolt on things. I didn't pay anywhere near the sticker price, I bought it in the spring of 08 as a leftover model at the dealer for $5500. Those are just the factory cable covers, the lower one is the clutch cable, the upper one is the parking brake. And these are definitely great quads, love mine...and tons of potential in them.
The GYTR edition was just another model for 2007, it had the same shocks as the SE model, the polished GYTR front bumper and heel guards, and the GYTR graphics...that's pretty much it.
i have a 700r 2007 yamha raptor and i put $500+ in the mother when i got it and i cant keep it on the ground in 1st, 2nd, gear. mine is fule injected to. i love fule injected alot more that carbs
hey man i just bought a used raptor 700 and it has a 15 tooth, pipe, filter, power commander, and when i pin the throttle the motor revs up soo fast on the low end and it feels as if the quad is just revving while idling but it is picking up speed, i know what a stock raptor feels like and the stock did not rev up as fast on the low end. is it the sprocket? do you have the same feeling?? i know my clutch is not burnt out.
PCIII = Power Commander 3, it is a fuel controller...you need to add one of these to a fuel injected quad after you change the exhaust and intake just like you need to jet a carbureted quad after you do the same modifications, basically it allows you to adjust the fuel mapping to keep the correct air/fuel ratio. New they are $300 or so, but you can find them used online all of the time for a bit less.
No, that is without the quiet cores installed. I have barker pipes on my RZR-S, and I bought quiet cores for that because it is damn loud without them, but I really didn't like how they made it sound. It went from sounding like a harley, to more like an air cooled VW engine...a lot more tinny and poppy sounding.
The fronts are black 10" ITP SS112s with chrome center caps (they come with black center caps) with 21" ITP sandstars mounted on them. The rears are 8" ITP T9 Baja's with 22"x11" Skat Trak Hauler 8 paddle tires. I ended up selling the front wheels and tires and going with 10" ITP T9 Baja's with 21" Skat Trak smooth buffs to save some weight not long after I made this video...
A few of the online Raptor forums have done "exhaust shootouts" where they dyno tested all of the available exhaust systems for the 700r, and the dual setups showed the most power gain out of any of them because they flow so much better...plus they just look cool! lol
i think im going to run a 22 hauler on my 10" hyper wheels because the shorter sidewall will hopefully slide better. can you slide them on a 8" rim? heard they track really strait
I only have one trip on these so far, and most of my time was spent on the drag strip...so I can't honestly tell you how well they slide. I did do a little cruising around, and I didn't notice them being any worse at turning than my sandstars were, but I really didn't try to slide around much.
how do you like your 22" haulers??? i have some 20" sand sharks on hyper 10" wheels. i win races although they are pretty shitty tires. are they worth the money? nice bike btw
@2583803 Thanks. I switched from 20" ITP Sandstars on 9" ss112's to the 22" haulers on 8" Baja's and it made a huge difference, almost 5lbs lighter per wheel/tire...definitely worth the money. I ended up having to put a longer swing arm on the quad after this video (+4 SLC) , I had to lift off the throttle while launching because it would stand straight up even with my big ass laying over the handle bars.
hey man i have the same raptor as yours and i wanted to get a dual exhaust for it what type do u think i should get?
are ur barkers good? do they ruin anything in the engine like the fuel injection etc.??
please answer asap.
thanks man.

@Sandeep9201 Buy some 21" ITP GNCCs for the rear. Your prob just spinning your power away.

Hey do you really feel the difference between a 14 tooth sprocket and a 15 tooth? If so what does it do? I heard more top speed in 5th gear??
