if I had the money, i'd buy an older XKR over any other.. sure the 911 is a better car, but this has so much passion and a beautiful design and a lovely roar... idk, I guess i'm more of a jaaaag man
How can You review a 5.0 l V8 Jaaaag and not say a single word about the marvellous sound it makes? I want this or the xf so badly... Btw - i checked today and if today i would go to the Jaguar dealership and buy basic XF i'd have to sign a cheque for todays equivalence of 45k pounds, and in England, basic model costs 30k. That's quite unfair, especially when You consider average salary here. Anyway, greetings from Poland, love Your reviews.
@homeboyskilletfresh no its not.. Its a Jaguar AJ-V8.. it is a Ford developed engine but Ford never used it in Mustangs... Ford did use it in the Thunderbird.. but the engine has been used by Land Rover and Jaguar only... it was kind of made for them.. I think that the range of that engine is somewhere between 4 to 5 liters... depends on where you want it
Why do they bother giving these rear seats?? People who own them will already have another, larger car. I was looking at the convertible version at a motorshow. I got in, slid the seat all the way back to my position (I'm tall) and it touched the rear seat. I said to the girl there "why does it have rear seats? look, those are useless!" and she said "you wouldn't have the seat all the way back that far". I said nothing more!
Some car manufacturers who offer back seats in their sports cars are stupid. For example Porsche 911 and Audi TT, i mean what the hell? No one can sit in those seats, so why offer them? at least convert that area into luggage space and stop building cars with useless rear seats, I love 2 seaters but i wish manufacturers would simply stop apoligising for all the girly men out there who need rear seats for their handbags.
@nicknickk manufactures make sport cars with rear seats to reduce the insurance's monthly fee, this is whole about business, if someone can afford a car but insurance costs much money which exceeds person's budget they can't afford a car then, so therefore they make cars with rear seats to reduce the monthly payment as it would be defined "2+2 car" by insurance and that way they are getting more buyers then these sport cars who are 2 seats and 2 times more expensive insurance price.
We'll have to stop using leather on the dash now :(
The minute brummies think something is a distinguishing mark of luxury, the opposite is usually true. Shame, I like leather.

OMG what's the point of having rear seats in this car then...
lcsxwtian 1 year ago 25
@lcsxwtian Because many believe that they can be as spacious on the back as a 911.

I know a man who owns one, and he did complain about the petrol consumption... but it is still an awesome car...
