you have to go to settings and turn on the wi fi first. and if you don't have a wireless network at home, you probably can't go online.

To get a wifi connection, you need to go to a wifi hotspot, meaning someplace that has wifi. Like McDonalds or starbucks.

When you have it docked into your computer, go to iTunes, select it in the menu, and click the tab called "pictures" (or images or w/e. i dunno, im on a norwegian system). then you choose "synchronise images from: and select a folder, or, if youre on a mac, iphoto, then check albums to sync. Hey guys, about the Ipod Touch. In the Apple store I found the on screen keyboard quite hard to use. Does it get any easier? Otherwise I will buy a Nintendo DS stylus and use that :p

I really like this thing. But my question is (because I found no video where they mention it) if you can check e-mail and or other accounts on different websites. It says you can browse the web... but not if you can actually log in to any site.

I works, at least it works with my web-based account.

I tried to log on to gmail: as expected from a 'tiny-safari' you can check your e-mail and the rest, I found it quite difficult but maybe it's just a question of getting used to the 'finger' interface!

Thanks a lot dude, all I needed to know was that the web browser was capable of logging into web based accounts. Army starts in a month and I need some device like a PDA to stay close by my e-mail, bank account and other web based accounts. To have both a Wi-Fi enabled "PDA" and a media player in one is what I need. iPod Touch is my next thing.

I've had mine about a month, and yes, it does get easier.

In fact, i'm almost as fast in the touch as i am on the computer now, i couldn't reccommend the ipod touch more! It seriously rocks!!!!

i preordered my ipod touch and it will be here tuesday. but i have a question about downloading videos onto it, so if anyone knows, please answer. see, i have never had an ipod so i dont know these things but how would i download a youtube video, such as this one, onto my ipod touch? is it possible? how much memory would a standard 5 minute youtube video take up? is there any other *free and legal* ways to get videos on my ipod? thanks so much in advance! =]

well i believe its impossible to download youtube videos the LEGAL way! lol but there are ways to download youtube videos the illegal way. a 5 minute video can probably take up to 50 megabytes. if you want to download videos the legal way, your better off sticking itunes. but u have to pay..
