  • Tony's hair doesn't look real. Looks like he's been pounding the Just For Men.

  • i completed insanity and i wanna start power 90. would it be too easy? btw i cant do p90x cuz i have nowhere to do the pull ups

  • omg thank you for posting this - I'm day 9 into Power 90, and planned on continuing with the master series before jumping into p90x! at least now I know what i'm up against!

  • @cypresscollectibles.. Thanks for the info, looking forward to being a strong lean machine!!..:)

  • I was thinking of going to P90X after Power90 BUT after seeing this video, I think I will first do Power90 Master series first! I am on day 42 of power90, I just started sculpt phase 3-4 & abs200 but I'm still doing Sweat phase 1-2, not really up for the next challenge

  • @sonnque Power 90 Master Series will totally get you ready for P90X. It's kinda like P90X without the heavy lifting.

  • This seems like an awesome workout, I lost 20 pounds just from 2 months of power 90 alone! Of course, having the big ego that I have, I'm skipping straight to insanity, then p90x.

  • Hey!

    Just a question, I'm 6'1 295 pounds.. I realize I need to do something before P90X... just can't decide if i should do P90 and then P90X, or P90MS and then P90X...

    Or should i just do P90 -> P90MS -> P90X ???

  • @litoazmitia I would definitely start with Power 90. It starts slow but still provides an amazing workout. Look at my videos to see my Power90 results. Power 90 will dramatically increase your stamina and reshape your body. After that, the Power 90 Master Series ups the ante with more/harder moves (many from P90X) without the heavy weight lifting of P90X. Do Power90 first, then take the P90X fitness test. If you can't pass the P90X test then do P90MS.

  • This makes me so excited to finish Power 90 and tackle the Master Series!

  • Thank for the preview!

  • I have the Master Series and it is more intense than 3-4. The Master Series Sweat 5-6 will leave your legs on fire much more than 3-4 if you are trying and getting a good bend in the knees.

  • @reddragonpsi No lie! The first full set after the warm-up (knee lifts, twist/pivot, squat kicks) is burn city!

  • @reddragonpsi No doubt! The first time I did Sculpt 5-6 I was thinking I better add in some extra squats because they were missing from the Sculpt 3-4 routine. THEN I did Sweat 5-6, which attacks the upper legs like crazy!

  • I just finished P90 on the 15th. And am now deciding on what I should do now.

I was thinking of continuing to finish off the month with the normal 3-4 sculpt and sweat. THEN I move onto 5-6.

But I really have been having thoughts about high interval training for summer. I really am planning to work really hard, and not only be able to look more leaner and muscular, but I also want to have better athleticism.

Right now, I'm just wondering is 5-6 sculpt really more intense than 3-4?

  • @noel4140

I just did 5-6 sculpt today for my first time. And well as a beginner of course, I wanted to take it slow and see how the workout was like, while trying to get a good workout out of it. But I really felt a heck of a lot more burn in my whole arms and upperbody in 3-4 than I did with 5-6.

  • @noel4140 I felt that way too - at first. The Master Series moves take some time to master and get the most out of. Best example is the sphinx push-ups and the wide-tri-rise. When I first did these, I thought "big deal". Once I kept doing them and mastered them they took me to a whole new level of tricep burn. This series is definitely cardio-heavy, but you need that to get ready for P90X

  • @noel4140 YES - The Level 5-6 is much more intense than 3-4. When I first did it, I didn't think so, because it isn't quite as bang-bang-bang as 3-4 and also a few of the moves you really need a few weeks to master. Once you master, these workouts are WAY more intense than Power 90. I started the full P90X two days ago and let me tell you - I could not have done it without the master series. The Cardio Intervals, Core Cardio, and Plyo Legs DVDs on the Master Series are INTENSE cardio workouts!!

  • @cypresscollectibles

    Thanks for the input :)

I'm just wondering if you have a routine plan your going by with P90M?

So far, I've really just been alternating like I did in P90.

Every first day, I do the Sculpt 5-6, and every second day I would change between Sweat 5-6, and Cardio Interval.

  • @noel4140 You can find two schedules put out by beachbody by googling "power 90 master series schedule'There is also a shortened version that is only 8 weeks long that many people try. I can't post a link here but if you google the exact phrase "Not ready for P90X? Check out the P90 Master Series" it is the first link. Or you can alternate the sculpting tapes (sculpt 5-6, UML, Plyo Legs) with the cardio ones at your leisure. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

  • @cypresscollectibles --You just helped me make up my mind, gonna do it to prepare for p90x!

    Week 7 of power 90!

  • Do you do this before or after the P90X?

  • @pairof10s You do this either before P90X to get ready for it... or else after P90X as a maintenance routine.
