When Christians or whatnot say they hear God speaking to them, my suggestion is to ask them what was God's accent. American? English? Irish?... Russian? New York accent? Southern? And ask them to imitate God's voice to you. They'll go on saying that it was either in their voice, which makes it like they imagined it, or it was somehow otherworldly, or in their own accent so he could understand.. either way they'll trip over themselves and make a huge deal about explaining it = listen and laugh.
