uh, i don't remember stevens throwing any illegal hits. the guy was just a tough player; there's a difference between playing tough and playing dirty. most of the concussions he caused came on the same similar hit: forward skating through the middle of the offensive zone, head down, full speed. you think these players would learn after stevens laying virtually the same check on different players over the arc of a 20 year career.

hahahaha i hate the devils, but you can't compare stevens to dion phaneuf. of any defencemen you could choose to pair with stevens, phaneuf seems the most desirable? when phaneuf wins 3 cups, plays for 20 years, and TSN can put together a highlight reel of him destroying other players' games/seasons with one open-ice hit, get back to me. sometimes when i feel depressed, i watch the video of stevens hip-checking tie domi and it makes the day go by easier.

Moron Stevens is an embarrassment to the league...he exemplifies everything that hockey is trying to distance itself from.

As said...you probably feel sadness that this moron isnt still playing so he could quickly dispatch Crosby..hell why should we suffer as fans...watching the best player today for more then a few games......god it would be just super feeling those 3 seconds of satisfaction witnessing a massive headshot and a a twitching player on the ice...right?

The trade that sent Francis from Hartford to Pittsburgh was one of the worst in that franchise's existence.trading Francis essentially tore the heart out of the team. but he actually had a lot of respect for the organization and that's why he returned following their re location to Carolina.

Ron Francis won the Lady Byng three times. If you're not familiar with the sport, you may want to read this:
