In pretty much all civilised countries around the world any government would encourage this type of legislation: protecting society from unwanted babies and parents that aren't ready to provide them a good life (yet) because they are not economically or socially settled. Or because something went wrong. It happens.
This has nothing to do with physical deficiency. It has all to do with the bible.

The VA health care system was reformed by Clinton and worked great until Bush got ahold of it.

Individuals complain that the government was worthless in Katrina. Individuals complain that we can't get passports or other things in a timely manner. Name one area that the government does that job better than the private sector? The VA medical system IS Nationalized Health Care.....it is not even close to being good. Now you want to expand national health care to the same people that can't take care of an emergency or passports? Not me.

Viagra covers a physical defficiency, birth control pills have nothing to do with a physical problem. It's like comparing anti biotics for a stomach virus and diet pills to stop eating, they're not parallel.
