Thanks for the vid! i just want to know does sync emails takes energy from the battery as much pulling does? and what does it mean sync 30 day? (I have galaxy nexus)
Is it possible to get push email in the default mail client instead of the gmail app as I prefer the initial "Mail" application or are we stuck with 5 minute auto sync?
@balochan1: With K9 email client if your email supports IMAP protocol which 95% of email servers do you can setup push email for almost any email see my other video for more info on the same /watch?v=kT6hrtpKdzM
Hi! Im a little lost here. I had my gmail account configured to sync every 30 min or hour, not push. I cant find the option now. I'll be very pleased if you tell me what to do. I dont like push email. I know that is posible to set the sync every 1, 30, 45,hour,twohours... but where?? this option was displayed the first time I turned on the phone. please help!
@ihaveitnow: It is push email and I know you should get it instantly, at time I get it within 10 seconds of sending and most of the times within 1 minute, at rare occasions it might take about 5 minutes, I also tested push-email on Balckberry and I get it within a minute mostly within 30 seconds.... the problem here in India is the congested and overloaded cell networks.
a real push mail should be received in real time that is the moment it goes out of the mail box and the very next second it is received on the device just like blackberry devices does.
the one you described can be called as a semi push mail :)
i have configured real push on my iphone 4, (just like blackberry does), i see no reason as why it sholdnt work on android as well , very simple few steps and bang you are there, in case any one interested, email me @ pacuroban@yahoo.com

@aLlamaWithARifle: I don't think so the push email will work with the default email client.
