kaini stands out. i had been looking for the song since i'd usually just listen to mhtrtc all the way thru with no idea what the tracks were called. sometimes, its better to not know the names of things, to strip them of labels and context to experience them wholly. but other times, when you want to experience something, how else might you go about evoking it?

roygbiv benefits from duff old equipment or shoddy recording (as in this video) - it brings out the analogue warmth. In full digital quality there's a bit too much separation and the levels are spiky. Still an absolute masterpiece of life-affirming beauty.
