Aerith appears rather OOC to me. Especially in the beginning.
Personally, I'm attempting the Yuffie scene because I just don't see any real hint of AerithxCloud and Tifa is pretty much useless to the game, except during the Memories thing.
Aeris, wants to meet cloud because she wants to get to know him. Not just another Zake. The only one that actually KNOWS cloud, his past, how he was as a kid and right away knew the difference between him and zack, is Tifa. She knows cloud deep down, and loves him for him. Aeris, still didn't completely get to know Cloud before she died.
Yea, when she says i want to meet 'YOU' that means she wants to meet the actual cloud. she says that he is exactly like zack, and she knows thats not how Cloud really is, or rather was. Thats why shes still 'searching,' shes searching for Cloud, not Cloud acting like zack

God that scene is sad in retrospect. Cloud acts like such a prick on the gondola, and then Aeris says they should get on more rides next time. But unlike the first time I played the game, now I know there won't BE a next time...
Zack wasn't even relevant in the original game. Heck you could win the entire game without ever knowing that Aerith's ex-boyfriend was Zack!
So this scene doesn't support Zerith at all, like we even cared about Aerith's mysterious ex-lover back then -- it was all about Aerith wanting to know more about Cloud.
Just to point out, after this date scene Aerith never again mentions Zack or makes any reference about him at all, so where's all this proof about Aerith still loving Zack?

And Tifa also exit the house after his parents said that he mentioned a girlfriend and if it was her, she says no and just exit. Cloud follows her and asks her what's the matter, but she tells him (if I remember correctly) "nothing"... Too bad I didn't have Aerith in my team. :/
I think you're all reading a little too much into that line. Because of the effects on Cloud's mind, he is exhibiting several traits of Zack's thoughts, which contributed to Aeris' attraction for him.
The line she made could have two meanings.
It could mean that she wants to meet the Cloud whose mind is unaltered and not assuming the role of Zack.
OR
It could simply mean she wants Cloud to open up to her.

@xavierbot Cloud has traits that belong to Zack due to the fact that they were both involved in a project under Hojo's direction to create a clone of Sephiroth. While undergoing the experiment, some of Zack's DNA spilled into Cloud.
Because Cloud was injured at the time, he was in a very weak state of mind. When he finally came to, he still had Zack's memories in his brain and couldn't deduce what they were, so he willingly accepted that they were his own memories, including being in SOLDIER
She's saying that initally she saw Zack in Cloud and it bothered her, so now she's curious and wants to know the *real* Cloud, not the Zackiefied Cloud.
I don´t think aeris is the most convinient, because she looks the personality of zack and that´s why she feels like that, and remember the words "I want to meet you"-traduction-"I want to meet the real you"

This is the one i got. The aerith date, i mean. I think when i did this part (i havent had a copy of VII in years) i said the wrong things in the play, and aerith went berserk on the stage.
At that scene, i played in a way that i had the choice of kissing aerith (when i chose this option, he kissed her in the hand, though). Later at the gondola nothing happened besides aerith saying love stuff to cloud, there's no real kissing in this event xD
When I got to that point, I messed the play up so badly, that Aeris got mad, pimpslaped Cloud into unconsciousness. At which point the Evil Dragon King started complaining, and Aeris FALCON PUNCHED it off the stage!

Well, Aeris fell in love with Cloud (and vise-versa) only because he reminded her of Zack, who, later when she dies, is with him in the lifestream. So, she's out.
And, Tifa, the only other likely candidate, really does love Cloud, however, throughout the whole game, he expressing nothing more than deep friendship with her, and even at the end, still loves Aeris, saying (while freaking holding her) says he's going to see her in the Promised Land. So, not her, either. :<

Aerith is in love with Zack, which of basically one of the only reasons why she likes Cloud. In Advent Children, I believe there's a scene that shows Aerith and Zack together in heaven.
Tifa is in love with CLOUD. Therefore she should be WITH Cloud. She's the only one who actually prefers Cloud because he's Cloud, not Zack.
You could try to mention to everybody that this is in your opinion, I mean to start none of this bothered to use facts, quotes,etc from the game, just your personal speculation. It has been verified both Aerith and Tifa love Cloud so both have a chance of it being requited.
And even though both love Cloud he doesn't have to pick either, even if they throw themselves at him, that only makes them pathetic, not in a relationship.
ShinenAkuma is right though. Maybe pre-Aerith death the debate could be a matter of opinion but seeing as how Aerith is now gone and is with Zack in Heaven, it's kinda obvious Tifa and Cloud will end up together. Either they do or they both die single.

Come on, they're both First Class Soldiers with the bluish Mako eyes, hold the Buster Sword, and Zack/Cloud actually were good friends in Crisis Core. How that for facts?

No, Aeris died as a sacrifice to symbolize the meaning of the game. And why in hell would they make the main heroine hook up with a minor character? She wants CLOUD. It doesn't have to be realistic it's a fantasy. Like in Disney how do they just fall in love with them in a day? Because it's fantasy. It's not different for VII because a theme of VII is Pragmatism vs Idealism. It is to gain the true happiness in life even if it is the unrealistic choice. In VII the promised land is the happiness and that's where Cloud wants to see Aeris. Tifa may be what would happen if real life, but since this is a fictional game anything can happen.

Well Aerith said so herself in the letter she gave Zack that she was moving on with her life without him. And not to mention all through out FFVII she spoke of being over him. And with in CoL she calls Cloud her "beloved" with no mention of Zack. As for Cloud he lived in her church, thought or her, and then visited her in the flowers. It's not being "depressive" these are just what i've seen in FFVII. :/

Well it's just imo, moving on and living a normal life isn't very fantasy like and you guys gotta remember that's what this is. I think Cloud continues to love Aerith and even though he is living with Tifa, and Barret for that matter, he still loves the flower girl. Check the DoC manual or calling and then maybe you'll get a jist of what i'm talkin' about ^^

Possibly, but imo Cloud loving two girls isn't as romantic. I mean X wasn't a love story either but they still incorporate that into the story. The love story is supposed to come back to the theme. For X him being the dreaming faith works with the theme and Aerith symbolizes life for the planet. So I think Aerith was intended to be the love intrest

So no Tifa makes more sense and i think tifa is better. I always liked tifa being with cloud the most.
ok aerith is still killed in the game and that wasnt at the last second. He was only disappointed becuz if that was aerith then he figured everything would be alright, noone died and he wouldnt be depressed like he was in advent children about letting aerith die. it's an endless debate... does Cloud love Tifa ? does he not ? the end of the game shows he loves her even if it's not like Aerith, then in a Way To A Smile we can see they sleep together...the end of FF AC is an happy ending, i think cloud is going to come back and live with Tifa and others... i think it's as simple as that : Aerith loved Zack then she loved Cloud, Cloud loved Aerith then he loves Tifa, even if it was quite hard to accept Aerith's death

I know it is possible for Cloud to love both or neither. Clerith nor Cloti have been proven canon so we can't say. I believe Clerith to be how it was interpretated in the game, but i'm not correct and i doubt i ever will be until the creators say so xD

Zack wasn't even relevant in the original game. Heck you could win the entire game without ever knowing that Aerith's ex-boyfriend was Zack!
So this scene doesn't support Zerith at all, like we even cared about Aerith's mysterious ex-lover back then -- it was all about Aerith wanting to know more about Cloud.
Just to point out, after this date scene Aerith never again mentions Zack or makes any reference about him at all, so where's all this proof about Aerith still loving Zack?

And Tifa also exit the house after his parents said that he mentioned a girlfriend and if it was her, she says no and just exit. Cloud follows her and asks her what's the matter, but she tells him (if I remember correctly) "nothing"... Too bad I didn't have Aerith in my team. :/

I think you're all reading a little too much into that line. Because of the effects on Cloud's mind, he is exhibiting several traits of Zack's thoughts, which contributed to Aeris' attraction for him.
The line she made could have two meanings.
It could mean that she wants to meet the Cloud whose mind is unaltered and not assuming the role of Zack.
OR
It could simply mean she wants Cloud to open up to her.
Either way it's very romantic.

@xavierbot Cloud has traits that belong to Zack due to the fact that they were both involved in a project under Hojo's direction to create a clone of Sephiroth. While undergoing the experiment, some of Zack's DNA spilled into Cloud.
Because Cloud was injured at the time, he was in a very weak state of mind. When he finally came to, he still had Zack's memories in his brain and couldn't deduce what they were, so he willingly accepted that they were his own memories, including being in SOLDIER

At that scene, i played in a way that i had the choice of kissing aerith (when i chose this option, he kissed her in the hand, though). Later at the gondola nothing happened besides aerith saying love stuff to cloud, there's no real kissing in this event xD

Well, Aeris fell in love with Cloud (and vise-versa) only because he reminded her of Zack, who, later when she dies, is with him in the lifestream. So, she's out.
And, Tifa, the only other likely candidate, really does love Cloud, however, throughout the whole game, he expressing nothing more than deep friendship with her, and even at the end, still loves Aeris, saying (while freaking holding her) says he's going to see her in the Promised Land. So, not her, either. :<

They are part of the compilation which is the whole story of VII, so yes they have to do with the story. And even if you count none of them then Cloud and Tifa aren't living together and Cloud is prolly doing what he spoke of at the end of the game...MEETING AERIS.
Fine, even if you don't count MWTtP, Nojima even says that Zack was Aeris's first love, not true or one love. Implying first is saying that there is more than one and she could even love both now, but she does love Cloud.

No Cloud wasn't in depression at the end of VII, so he had no reason to want Aerith's forgiveness. And even if, the promised land is somewhere to promises extreme happiness. Cloud isn't stupid, by the end of VII he understood what it was. It's a state of mind, not an actual place. It's where you find extreme happiness and Cloud is with Aeris. Now can you say that, that isn't sweet. :3 Even if many spinoff's Cloud speaks of wanting ot meet Aeris, KH, tactics, dissidia that is his main goal.

She wants CLOUD. It doesn't have to be realistic it's a fantasy. Like in Disney how do they just fall in love with them in a day? Because it's fantasy. It's not different for VII because a theme of VII is Pragmatism vs Idealism. It is to gain the true happiness in life even if it is the unrealistic choice. In VII the promised land is the happiness and that's where Cloud wants to see Aeris. Tifa may be what would happen if real life, but since this is a fictional game anything can happen.

Well Aerith said so herself in the letter she gave Zack that she was moving on with her life without him. And not to mention all through out FFVII she spoke of being over him. And with in CoL she calls Cloud her "beloved" with no mention of Zack. As for Cloud he lived in her church, thought or her, and then visited her in the flowers. It's not being "depressive" these are just what i've seen in FFVII. :/

I think Cloud continues to love Aerith and even though he is living with Tifa, and Barret for that matter, he still loves the flower girl. Possibly, but imo Cloud loving two girls isn't as romantic. I mean X wasn't a love story either but they still incorporate that into the story. The love story is supposed to come back to the theme. For X him being the dreaming faith works with the theme and Aerith symbolizes life for the planet. So I think Aerith was intended to be the love intrest

no it dont. She died in ff7 and at the end of advent children even aerith said that everything is as it should be. And at the end of this date scene she even says that she only went out with him because he reminded her of zack. Tifa and cloud have been childhood friends, and when tifa and cloud explore clouds memories cloud even said that he wanted to impress Tifa and be recognized by tifa. So no Tifa makes more sense and i think tifa is better. I always liked tifa being with cloud the most.

1) the previous reason
2) Tifa wasn't supposed to even be in the game until the last second
3) Cloud's mother told him to go out with an older girl (Aerith is 22, Cloud is 21, Tifa is 20)
4) at the end of the game, Cloud is disappointed when he finds it isn't Aerith reaching for him, that it was Tifa.

He was only disappointed becuz if that was aerith then he figured everything would be alright, noone died and he wouldnt be depressed like he was in advent children about letting aerith die. He wouldnt feel that he therefore wouldnt feel like he had a huge "sin" like he had in advent children burdening him and affecting his relationship with Tifa and the rest of his "family", key right there.

there really wasn't a relationship. it's up to the fans to decide who cloud is with, so it's not aerith or tifa in particular. i myself am a clerith fan, and i don't care if anyone is a cloud and tifa fan. that's their opinion, and clerith is mine.

He instantly thought that Aeris lead Denzel to his place. Cloud never said Denzel was a part of Tifa's life, Tifa did and who cares what she said cuz it doesn't mean Cloud means it. T_T Even if Denzel isn't Cloud and Aerith's "child" he still loves her.

its very simple if the ff7 team wanted clerith then they never would have killed off aerith and kept tifa alive get that through ur head. Shes dead and shes never coming back and if advent children even aerith said things are the way that they are supposed to be.

yeah it does it means that the ff7, who made this up not u, intended for tifa and cloud to be the lovers of the game. and ur MWTtP and other crap have nothing to do with the storyline becuz aerith died in the real storyline and those are just irrelevant. And after he got his forgiveness in AC he went there becuz first that was where Kadaj went and Aerith put him there then after that plus he needed to cure denzel of the stigma, but its good that u mentioned it

How the fuck did they intend for CloudxTifa to be lovers? Tifa wasn't even in the original script. Have you even read MWTtP? It is when Aeris is dead. You really don't know what your talking about do you? I was talking about Calling, not the end of AC. When Cloud was on his motorcycle and parked by the flowerfield Aeris was standing in. He was "meeting her". Have you even played the original VII btw, cuz it sure doesn't seem like it. T_T

it's an endless debate... does Cloud love Tifa ? does he not ? the end of the game shows he loves her even if it's not like Aerith, then in a Way To A Smile we can see they sleep together...the end of FF AC is an happy ending, i think cloud is going to come back and live with Tifa and others... i think it's as simple as that : Aerith loved Zack then she loved Cloud, Cloud loved Aerith then he loves Tifa, even if it was quite hard to accept Aerith's death

I know it is possible for Cloud to love both or neither. Clerith nor Cloti have been proven canon so we can't say. I believe Clerith to be how it was interpretated in the game, but i'm not correct and i doubt i ever will be until the creators say so xD

Well we know that Tifa loves Cloud, and that Aeris wants to meet the real Cloud... but there's no way we can know for sure that Cloud loves Tifa or Aeris. But we also know that he cares for both of them. And i'm not sure about Zack... I didn't play CC hhaha XD

Hmm, yep i agree with you mostly. Tifa indeed does love Cloud but also Aerith loves Cloud too. Who knows who Cloud loves(could be Zack xD) and Zack still loves Aerith seeing the way he behaved with her in MWTtP. Just what i think...

Aerith liked cloud because he was the perfect image of Zack since he was acting as Zack the whole time, having his memomries, his sword. Aerith says it in the game that he reminds her of her late boyfriend(Zack).

and dont say that Tifa was only supposed to b in the game at the last second. If she wasnt in the game who would have stopped Cloud when he tried to leave Barret and the others at the start. And even more important who would have led cloud to "find himself" when he dropped into the lifestream?, Barret. I mean Sephiroth was the only one who knew that cloud wasnt a soldier first class and Cloud would never have believed him if it was just him saying that. ff7 would seriously change if Tifa wasn in

i didnt make it to aeris - had to go with tifa, what was obviously fail (animeu style: could's a dickhead + old friends)
its fun if you tell the knight to kill the king - then your date (tifa in my case) will get mad, slap you KO, kick the dragon offstage and become the new legendary hero. :P
anyways i love the game!
but i like ff6 more (cuz 3 ppl in party sux hard)
