@JKJM1 They did. They made the cover of Rolling Stone in '69. Lotsa newspaper coverage. Opened and closed the Democratic National Convention concert in Chicago in '68. Toured the US and Europe. But the world was a different place 40 years ago. The MC5 often presented themselves as leftist revolutionaries (whether they really were is up for debate) & that freaked some people out. Couple that with the drugs & booze & festering personal differences, the MC5 weren't going to last. But what a ride!
