  • you need to work on your turn out more. You turn out way too much. Your feet are at 180 but your hips aren't because your knees are going way forward when you plie. Your knees should be over your 2nd toe if you want to keep your knees the rest of your life.

  • Meh you're alright... Stretch your ankles!!! And break them in more :) don't do echepes right away either get over your box then try echepes

  • be careful not to roll your arces! and those shanks look really hard for your feet

  • go through your feet even if they are new i can tell resist through the ground,

    then also echappes... :|

try to be over your box before you try those...

    streach your feet ...

    dont collapse...

dont sickle get on the frount of your shoes.

    btw how old are you?

and thank you keep working ;)

  • yeh. I agree . keep ur heels on da floor.

like da combo!! bklak tites with pink points.

    looks great!

  • Slide into your eschapes before i cry! Slow down!!! And also get on your box :D

  • Try to keep your heels down in demi-plie. Often this means your calves are too tight, if you can't keep them down, so maybe try stretching them. You also really need to get over your box. Good try, though. Let's see a new video where you roll up through demi-pointe! :o)

  • put your heels down!!

  • you really have to break in your shoes but other than that your pretty much ok!

  • your pretty good. u need to break them in a little mre and they should b fine... just be careful... your not fully getting onto your box

  • you have amazing turnout, just break them in more and they should be fine

  • you need to break them in try your hands and rool through your feet

  • hmm.. what brands and shanks are these?

  • black tights under pink shoes? The horror...

  • Looks like you need a slightly softer shank in your shoe. Also, bend them around a bit before you dance in them, and step on the boxes (not the platforms) with your heel a bit to give them more flexibility. And to break them in better while dancing, roll up and down slowly, going through demi, to full pointe. Your ankles seem to be really strong, though!

  • Try 2 losen up your shoes, it looks a bit clumsy. BUT if you look through that, it's kinda good ;).

    xx" Subscribe mines 2!

  • this is regarding dancingdoll593's comment. wat i wear for ballet is really retarded looking, so black tights with pink pointe shoes isnt very bad ;) (believe me, i have a white leotard, black skirt, skin colored tights, tan nylons, and pink pointe shoes haha)

  • Uhm.

    Youre arch sucks.

  • UHM its going to until she breaks them in! duh!

  • Okay.

I know what i'm talking about.

    Obviously you don't.

    Just shut up.

  • uh no, in that video she is trying to break them in and until she does her arch will look like it sux, u dont need to be posting those kind of comments on ppls videos

  • Wow your plies are turned out.

  • the black tights go really well, looks cool

  • eww gross y would you wear black tights with pink ballet shoes!?!?!!? and u need to break them in and you are sickling

  • Really start off with a good plie and make sure you pointe your feet in those tendus! I know its easy to get lazy in pointe shoes but that is when you need to pointe more. Try a softer shank for your pointe shoe. It looks like you were having some trouble getting over your box.

    Hope I helped! :)

  • what is a plie when you dont even start off with straight knees?

  • breaking in pointeshoes with your feet is actually better because it makes your feet so much stronger, however when the shank is really really hard Id suggest a door or use your hands to break em in more. Also in your echappes make sure to get your feet completely heel and all on the ground before going up again. Your not fully on your boxes yet but its starting to look good. nice turnout too!

  • I may be a guy but I dance with girls and I see them break in their point shoes. Wearing them to break them in is not the beset idea. Try using your hands or even stick them in a door. Also watch that video that eloisefig recommended.

  • Watch Lisa Howell's video on how to break in pointe shoes. It really helps so they dont break in in the wrong places.

  • I second that!

  • you are not even getting en pointe.

  • I think you are turning your feet out farther than your turn-out actually goes. Your toes should never be pointed out further than your knees -- for example, when you plie, your knees should be moving at the same angle as your toes, otherwise you need to turn out more from the hips and LESS from your feet.

    Be careful. :)

  • You shouldn't be trying to actually dance in BRAND new pointe shoes. That's pretty dangerous. Also when you land in those overcrossed positions, you can snap your achilles. Ow! Those shanks look painfully hard for your feet. You should work them more without being en pointe. In your hands if you know how, or lots of pressing over. Be careful though. However I do have to say your turnout looks really nice.

  • Your turn out is so fierce!

  • brake into ur pointe shoes more it will make it a lot easier and also cool pointe shoes mine is a really old one

  • whats dose break them in mean..?

    and is ballet hard??

  • when u get pointe shoes the shanks are extremely hard. u have to break them in so u can roll through demi easily. and so taht ur supported

  • the warmup should've not been video taped but everything else is awesome! your so good!

  • Its very good, you have a lot of potential. But don't force your turn-out, like the other person said. It twists your knees and its really bad for them and your feet. Remember that your toes should be right under your knees, and imagine that you're turning out from the hips rather than the ankes - that might help. Also, your shoes need to be broken in more, you're not getting over your box onto full pointe. Other than that, nice job. Keep up the hard work.

  • don't over crosss your fifth-position. very bad

u r also pushing your feet too far on your turnout. your knees should be over your toes. ur toes should NOT be past your knees.

  • looks like u have potential

  • The vamp looks to long.

  • yeah their russian pointes, i had just purchased them but i have long toes, usually go with blochs but tried something new, have you had them before.

  • Yes thats what I wear, what shank do you have?

  • the mhf shank

  • I had a ss now I have mf, I suggest bending the shank a little to get it started.
