Can't believe the amount of negative comments :( Actually I like it a lot! :) To me, this just goes to prove how well classical music and trance, as well as other electronic styles, work together. No need to exclude different music genres. Händel's is a masterpiece and this is a very interesting and v good version of it. Why the big fuss?? If you don't like merging styles, just don't listen to them, end of story. Hope haters won't start attacking me now for disagreeing with them, lol!

@dolls2703 well the things is that like me, people come here thinking they actually will hear the classical piece instead of, well whatever genre this is, and automatically find it offencive that someone uses the name of the composer and the piece of work he has composed for a song that has little to do with either. naturally, what follows is a lot of haters and negative responses.
@Xinginn You don't have to listen to the first ~50 seconds of original mixes, it was intended for DJs to seamlessly transition from one track to the next. what you're looking for is radio mixes.
This is a pretty good try, but the string parts seem out of place compared to the rest of the song, which is a shame. Other than that, this is an OK remix.
Jusging by the age groups I'd imagine this has been receiving the wrong audiences (hence the bad reception). However although this is OK, this form of music CAN incorporate classical music (Tiesto - Adiago for Strings comes to mind), with enough talent. But it's very difficult and needs a great deal of musical and production talent.
I would say this isn't all too bad, but each to their own :) .. missing some atmospherics I think.
Honestly, this is an affront to the title it has presumed to used, not to mention the Artist that created the Music that this seething pile of excrement seeks to emulate. Im sure the intent was there, but the talent didn't make the trip with the effort.
In the perspective of one that loves fine music, this is appalling as a reference to Maestro Handel. I pray whoever cobbled this melange of derivative tripe together can find in it their heart of heats, to die in a fire.... soon.
@Leshiye69 Oh my :) I was one of the people who actually made this. I'm not sure who you are praying to, but it hasn't worked yet. I for one hope that the entity doesn't exist because I wouldn't want to die in a fire just because I made this. I hope you live a long and happy life, despite having to hear this song and me still not having died in a fire.
@alcorhythm Why call it anything to do with Handel though? Call it something original.... it is an original work after all. Put in the notes that you were inspired by Handel, something appropriate like that. Just doesn't make sense that you should name this piece Handel's Sarabande.
Honestly it is an affront and hopefully you will rename it and put it into the genre it deserves to be in. That's neither good or bad, but it's not misleading... which is what you have intended here.
@Leshiye69 I have not intended anything like it. I didn't post this video, nor named it. I just said I am one of the people who "cobbled this melange of derivative tripe together". I will continue this discussion in private, if you don't mind!

I find this mix both good and bad. I feel a hint of Tiesto's "He's a pirate" style in there The beginning wasnt so good and that is maybe why people leave bad comments but after that the beat is really good :) Thumbs up from my behalf
I'm glad I heard this but I can't actually say I liked it. Still, it's worth hearing how people are trying to reinterpret the Baroque. It just sounds like synthesizer and drum machine to me but then I'm not in a trance and I think being in a trance would definitely help.
even though I love the original Sarabande, I think this one is funny, sounds good for a soccer videogame (well that's what I pictured in my head when I heard this hehe) well, keep enjoying doing what you do, I guess that's how the world is supposed to work
That would sound quite better with some kind of Gated Screamy Lead sound From a Sylenth or something than these old fashioned Trance strings with too much white noise in it. but the intro and the track construction are good.
That would sound quite better with some kind of Gated Screamy Lead sound From a Sylenth or something than these old fashioned Trance strings with too much white noise in it. but the intro and the track construction are good.
Seems some people need open their minds a little bit about what constitutes music... Music is not static; it t is always elvolving and in motion. If Handel were still with us today, who's to say he wouldn't have been a techno DJ? Oh, well. To each his own.
@lamllemaussade My thought exactly, some people should stop being so tight-assed and open their minds to new/different things. You have the right to dislike this, still Geert Huinink and Alco Lammers did a pretty good job at remixing Handel's Sarabande. It's not the original, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's different...
I like the original and was first nearly shocked to see this... However I think it is a) a cool crossover idea and a pretty good techno tune. I'd rather cut loose on the dance floor to this, than to most other stuff. However I don't like the part from 4:00 to 4:30.
Que porqueria! La Verdad no me gusto para nada! acaban de matar a Haendel! y no solo a Haendel sino que acabar de hacer mierda 50 años de musica electronica. :-S
I think this is quite beautiful... I think people don't realize how much talent it takes to produce a piece of music like this.
And I would think that classical music lovers would be happy that this music is reaching a new audience, rather than insulting the person who, inspired by Handel, put so much effort into creating a modern interpretation of a classic.
Until you try producing a high-quality track like this, you will have no idea how much goes into it.
I understand it takes a great deal of work to produce such a thing as this, but certainly not an amount of work comparable to the actual composition and performance involved in a piece like Sarabande. I don't intend to insult the person who made this, but I will agree that this could be reasonably considered an insult to Handel.
