@xchris1800 Except those who actually put their life's effort into trying to find all the answer to how and why nature does what it does. And have actually produced more legit evidence about the world and the universe than any creationist ever could with the bible and faith in god and his mysterious ways. A love in an unknown and unseen being who controls everything you do in life and death has absolutely nothing to do with nature and understanding of it.
what is it worth for a monkey to read if it has no the capacity to read?, in the same way what is it worth for an evolutionist to read books, and investigate if he has not understanding? He himself is a self-contradiction, what he defines by truth today is wrong tomorrow, bks everything evolves, even he is evolving, so we can never take seriously his claims. Serious claims come from something stable. Intelligence. Creation comes from a Designer.
Dividing by 0 makes infinity in math. Easy example 1/0.1 = 10; 1/0.01 = 100, then you continue go one step closer to 0, and the number will increase and when you eventually go down to zero, it will be infinite.
@TheRedAzuki Huh? By dividing previous number by 10, as it is in your example, you'll never get "down to zero". Dividing any number by 10 will not produce zero, unless the number is zero itself.
@upisoft2 You clearly don't understood what I was saying then. 1/0.5 = 2 | 1/0.2 = 5
No matter what you do, the closer you get to 0 the larger the number gets. You need to understand math, before you even comment, I put it on such a basic level so you could understand that it increased the closer the number gets to 0, but clearly you failed to see it.
@TheRedAzuki That part I pretty much understand and agree with. Also I know enough math. I'm disagreeing with the statement that you will "eventually reach zero", which is not possible by dividing progressively smaller numbers by 10. You can get even smaller numbers, but you'll never reach zero.
@TheRedAzuki What if I say "no"? I'm not going to shut up. And I pretty much understand that you are talking nonsense, which you can protect only with "shut the fuck up".
@TheRedAzuki The problem is obvious when you have following problem to solve:
You have a lamp controlled by a switch. The lamp is switched on. After half a minute you switch it off. After half of that time (i.e quarter of a minute) you switch it on again. You continue to flip the switch this way, each time waiting half of the time you previously waited. Question is "what will be the state of the lamp after 1 minute?".
(The lamp and the switch are perfect and can't break.)
I just had an idea. Because Hovind just described something he thinks is impossible, but which is relatively feasible.
Let's actually get a large number of dogs smaller than great danes, some kind of ancient wolf perhaps, and breed them for size and get a dog the size of a great dane.
Oh wait, we did that. It's called THE GREAT DANE.
Are the genes for smallness gone for whatever reason, Hovind?
the scene with the " pressurized tank" saying "this is not a pressurized tank".... I'm not completely positive, but i would say those weren't piranha, those were pacu...similiar shape to piranha, but they are vegetarian...
Kent Hovind is in jail because he was trying to warn the world that their is a dark agenda out there that aims at destroying the morality of every man woman and child making them into beasts. In fact Darwinism states that we evolved from mere beasts. God says you should hold your head up because you have been given free will by an all powerful all wise and all loving Creator. Jesus answered "Woe to them who worship the Created (Monkeys/Primates) rather then the Creator."
Public education is superior in the USA to the warped anti-science home-schooling and religious private schools. The only problem with public education are the encroachments by the religiontards. But that's religiontards' fault.
I've never heard anything stupider: if you let a lizard grow for 900 years it will turn into a dinosaur. What?!? Their anatomies are completely different! That's not how it works at all! How was he ever a teacher?!?
Those fish are a specie of pirahna called Pacu, they naturally grow up to 4 feet long and weigh 60 to 70 pounds and are vegetarian. And besides the fact that the tank is clearly not a pressurized one, the glass isn't nearly thick enough as a start, I am pretty sure increased pressures on an Amazonia river basin fish would be very detrimental in the long run. They are not fish designed to live at greater pressures. All I can say as a Biologist to this is: facepalm.
Also, you sound like you are from Europe so I can understand why you might think something like an arrowhead was precious; because they are all under several millenia of dirt over there. As someone who lives in the US (a place where stone aged people were living as little as 150 years ago), I can tell you that arrowheads were routinely discarded. I know this because I can walk along nearly any creek and find them laying on the ground around here.
@Lin4Masses bullshit. I live in europe and I have also found stonetools lying on the ground. the main difference is that most of europe stopped using stone tools a couple millenia ago. people in the bronzeage and the darkages would also take it and lose it like we do today. but the point is, most arrowheads found are broken. they lack the extension to fit them on the arrow (which prob broke off when it was used). it would be like having a bullet without the case. useless
@Lin4Masses they still didn't throw them away if they could use them. and yea, you can kill small animals using normal stones found almost everywhere. but the larger animals who the hunters primarily went for would most likely just run away after the first stone is thrown. and tracking down an animal just to start making the arrowheads immediatly and put them on shafts would alarm the animals of their presence. they had to have the weapons ready immediatly.
@AtheistScientific I'm sorry, but I'm not following where this is going. I don't follow the original argument the creationist was making either. Why does it matter weather they made tools on the spot or at specialized tool making locations?
@Lin4Masses Because herds of animals move. They don't stay in one place for long, they migrate in order to find fields they haven't consumed yet, allowing previous areas to regrow.
If you're a hunter tracking a herd of animals, you're not going to waste daylight and energy or risk revealing yourself to prey attempting to find materials to make weapons you could have had ready days before- ideally, you're going to have those things ready to go on a hunt.
@AtheistScientific Regardless of why you are trying to make this argument, I think you really need to try harder to put yourself into the head of of these people if you really want to know the truth about this. They were first and foremost hunters. Weather we are talking about humans or pre-humans a squirrel has always been good for a day or two worth of food and they are plentiful; any theory which says that small game was of little importance to hunter-gathers hasn't looked at real tribes.
@AtheistScientific I will say that I have seen evidence that, at least in some places, tools were made in a special location (sorry no ref on that). I would say that most likely both are true; some tools were only made in special locations and others were made on the move (sometimes just to pass the time). Some tools were more disposable than others; some were more likely to be carried than others for many reasons. I would avoid lumping these people into such narrow constraints.
@AtheistScientific I think I can give you a little more information on how to kill using a rock. Sometimes he would hit a leg or something; sometimes he would even be able to break it. But no matter what size the animal is (even with a broken leg) they will run. To kill an animal with a blunt rock with any great success it is necessary to aim for the neck and break the neck.
Your argument about stone tools doesn't hold water. If you have good aim any small rock can be plenty deadly. I had a friend as a child (around 10) who could literally take a handful of stones and kill rabbit at will from a good distance. In my mind, this was almost certainly how the earliest people hunted. It is so simple that people often overlook it, but if you think about it, throwing stones is something which is as instinctual for us as walking and gives us a huge hunting advantage.
@Rhiaden very true.....even normal ppl turn to this shit. My step dad use to be in a rock band in the 90's, very liberal, smoked pot (a fun person) and now hes a "country boy" conservative who believes in god, doesnt like black people (even though hes latino n dark skinned -_-) and once I made a comment like "plants are living organisms" and he goes "oh that probably comes from some left wing website"...facepalms somtimes just dont seem like enough with ppl like that (its like dumb is a disease)
The other day, I asked my dad if he thought being in the military and agreeing, therefore, to go to another country and fight a war there (for reasons unclear to that military personnel, but that's irrelevant) was initiative of murder and bloodshed. He blatantly refused. Does this irritate anyone else, or am I the only person who thinks militia has anything to do with war? Facepalm, people.
@fuzzytangent well of course your right, though i disagree partly. Vietnam is an example of a war that shouldnt have been fought (even though the soviet empire was evil and need to be faced by the U.S) I can understand many people saying the same thing about iraq and afgan, someone cant just say "well Im pro war" because that person isnt fighting the war themselves, men and women in the military are. However, the jihadist thugs do pose a serious threat to secularism and free speech.
The US empire is evil, too, and needs to be destroyed. And, I disagree about the Vietnam War. There is nothing wrong with TRUE communism: everybody getting paid equally for the same amount of work. There IS something wrong with bullshit extremist nationalism, whether anti-Western or whatever.
Also - it is utter BULLSHIT this distinction between "terrorists" (or criminal) vs "soldiers". EVERYbody is a soldier, fighting for a cause. What matters is which side.
@mphello you're such an idiot. Defending communism and terrorism lmao I bet u've read a book on either, just hear what you like and thats that.
and the U.S will never be destroyed because we're powerful we run this bitch, so shut the fuck up. I hope u commies, terrorist sympathizers and religious losers get ur asses handed to u some day
And you're a fucking idiot shithead for equating proud heroic communists with religious wingnuts and terrorists. Communists have been the only ones courageous enough to fight the xtiantards and islamotards - the Soviets fought the Taliban in Afghanistan in the 1980s LONG before the USA came along. You conservatives complain about islamic terrorists and so-called "Communist" China (actually, ultra-nationalist China), but you hypocrites have no problem doing business with them.
Even though atheism (there is no god) and communism (equal pay for equal work) have NOTHING to do with each other - i.e. are INDEPENDENT events - that means NOT correlated, which does NOT mean "negative correlated" - at least the communists DID have the sense to promote atheism. They were the few courageous enough to defend atheists throughout Europe, while all the pussy conservaturds like you and your father complained about them.
@fuzzytangent the problem I have with many conservatives (including my father) is they see the islamic fascists as a threat to their christianity, whereas I look at islamic fascism as a threat to freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and individual rights for all, not "my god verses my god" because both gods are evil fairy tales characters
@Killerjosh89 I your father religious, but you are NOT? That gives me (atheist) hope for having normal children with my (religious) girlfriend (who I love)
well debunking hovind doesnt really mean anything more than debunking venomfangx. there are phds all over answers in genesis. debunk those articles please.
@angryaznman Rational wiki contains tabs on a lot of creationists and similiar idiots, as well as their works and naturally a lot of rational thinkers and their works. It is very obviously biased on the sides of the thinkers wich I don't mind personally since I'm no ID-iot.
Respond to this video... Yep! And look at the division it's causing in this country ! We now find ourselves in a struggle to protect our right to separation of church and state !
Thanks for spotlighting the whole, "genes for largeness are gone" and "growing fish 4x larger" conflict, Thunderf00t! This guy can't even keep his own story straight much less understand Biology, Paleantology and Genetics!
How, in this day and age are people so tremendously stupid? It kind of makes me ashamed to be call myself an American, because I know that lumps me together with theses idiot creationists. There are actually schools (if they can be called that) filling children's heads with this type of nonsense. Progress anyone? Um...no thanks, we'd like to set humanity back a couple thousand years instead.
@Dryhumpington It's a direct result of the failure of the US education system, where religious schools & home schooling are considered good substitutes for public school. It shows that public school isn't good enough, especially in religious areas. It also shows the power or peer pressure over the Constitution. Even though religious tests are illegal, many citizens demand political candidates to be religious (and the same religion as them, as Keith Ellison knows!)
@NonnyMus1 We used to have one of the best education systems in the world. My dad as well as some early Nasa engineers only had two years of college and yet he worked in the early missle programs at cape canavral. Granted they we all very bright to begin with but without to good education they received they never would have made the acomplishments they achieved .
@420gma I agree! It's obvious that budget cuts and focus on test scores has undermined our once-great education system. As I 'converse' with various Youtubers, I'm appalled by the fallacies which pass for common knowledge. Worse, the most ignorant people have strong know-it-all attitudes that actually prevent learning.
@NonnyMus1 You have to ask yourselve what happened to logic and reasoning in this country. Cutting education funding should be the last resort for any country that wants to compete and move forward in this world! Here we are in the 21st century getting left far behind !
@420gma I think it's safe to say that a undereducated population is a more controllable population. Republican administrations, especially, have made it their business to reduce the effectiveness of education trhough vouchers, teaching for tests and not for learning, charter schools and public school budget cuts at all levels!
@NonnyMus1 I've talked to very well educated home-schooled children. The choice isn't always religious. What I mean isn't that it's a great choice but that it isn't always a bad sign.
I would like to encourage everybody to support Thunderf00t who continues vociferously defending the teaching of true science against it's oppressors. It's a debt we owe to our forefathers who have established the foundations of science from which we flourish and to our children who through them this knowledge will be preserved. It would be unforgiveable to allow the compromisation of this.
@TheLordSod He did get away with it for years and made millions. Fortunately, the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and State of Florida saw through his b.s. and he's currently serving a 10-year sentence for fraud and tax evasion - 58 counts worth!
The real genius of the family is his wife, Jo Delia. She faced 44 counts of tax fraud and served a little less than a year! Her signature was on hundreds of checks and she ran the payroll, but she claimed her husband was in charge.
Has anybody noticed he never gets a video of the smarter believers? He knows he has a better chance with these people that don't know what they're talking about
@muntu1221 I'm sorry dude but you have no right to say that. His doctrine is based on "facts" from the bible - the book upon which creationism (at least Christian creationism) is based - so intelligence (or ability to comprehend) while dictating these so-called "facts" or "holy predictions" is irrelevant. You can't make bullshit viable through mere intelligence. Perhaps if you were an omnipotent manifestation of a collective's indifference to the evolutionarily benefits/ills of empiricism....
@odinata Yeah, but I refuse to believe that single celled creatures just decided to become a new animal. Wouldn't something have to provoke it to try and change?
@odinata Well I'm not Christian, and nothing would provok evolution to even start. If those small animals had no threats whatsoever, they have no reason to evolve. Tell me what else would cause it?
@odinata I don't think I'm better than anybody, I'm saying evolution defies science in many ways. And I'm not little, I'm probably taller and longer than you. And what dolls do you see me play with? I thought dolls were little nude plastic girls, you must not be able to see. What I do with my life has nothing to do with this arguement, you just don't have any matterial left to use, do you? Come back when you have something I haven't heared before

Also creationists defend the improbability of the formation of just some simple proteins, aminoacids etc. However, what is the probability that all of the molecules formed at the same time creating not only 1 but all the species on Earth at the same time!?? I don't think that number is understandable by the human mind, even less a creationst mind... Creation is even more improbable than abiogenesis by 100000000000000000000000000000000000000% xD
@KillDozer123, No Pacu are not giant piranhas. Pacu and Piranhas are in the same sub family, but they are divided at the Genus level. Pacu are omnivorous, Piranhas are carnivorous. Pacu also lack the pointed serated teeth that piranhas possess. You are correct that Pacu are naturally large.
I like how hovind refers to people who accept the theory of evolution as "evolutionist", in his seminars he goes on a conspiratorial rant about taxes and the IRS and was eventually imprisoned for his beliefs about not having to pay taxes, so, by his standard he should be labeled a "tax-evasionist"!
"The genes of largeness are gone for some reason" I haven't watched the whole episode for some time now, but how about them frikkin WHALES? Large enough?!
@SonOfNye Now his followers think he's some kind of "political prisoner", and that he's in jail not because of tax fraud, but the government is trying to silence him from "telling the truth".
@SonOfNye Too bad his 'genius' lead him to his current residence in prison!! And to his wife serving 1 year. And his losing all his property to pay for judgements and costs. And losing all his guns, to boot. He even lost that sweet, sweet machine gun he had. That must've really hurt!
And his genius was *really* evident when he conspired with his son in a conversation on a prison telephone to hide property from the Feds. Who knew those things were bugged? But, yeah, genius!
@Xanatos712 you're right, but though he's so stupid that it's actually funny, it's sad that his listeners are even more stupid, if they believe that shit! It's only funny if you're trying to make a cult for money and scouting territories...but then you'd definitely know where to go..
The 911 hijackers were geniuses, too, then, to be consistent with your definition of genius.
They snuck through the defences of the USA and reduced the number of anti-Al-Qaeda enemies by a net of 2880 - 19 = 2861. They learned how to fly airplanes and hijack them. That took great courage. Many Al-Qaeda soldiers thought they were heroes.
@mphello Actually yes, they were geniuses. That attack in all fairness was brilliant. They made the most powerful nation on the planet remember that it could bleed. But we both know that that was not the point of my comment, either that or you have inability to detect thinly veiled sarcasm.
@machado231097 I HATE ignorance, I loath not knowing. I presume you want me to be ignorant like a Christian but I am not. I hold no dogma, I am not religious in the worldly sense. I have no label to give you to describe my beleifs.
@machado231097 I think you live in hell, not the religious hell that is dogma, but the real hell, that of Ego, Pride, Ignorance, Greed, Lust, and Anger. I want out of hell and the only way out is Love, Love for the Source, your FAther, and Love for your brother. We are all from the light.
And if you would like to debate me on any topic in existence I can prove to you I am not ignorant.
@truthseeker010101 "the real hell, that of Ego, Pride.." "And if you want to debate me on any topic in existance"
LOL.
Alright, i have a topic i want to discuss, let's talk about breakdown effects: if i have a silicon rectifying junction can you tell me what is the intensitiy of the electrical field needed to cause an avalanche breakdown effect as well as the minimum field needed to cause a zener breakdown effect and find out which one predominates as a function of the dopants' concentrations?
@DSkaz89 this must be your field of study, is this a p-n juntion? You want me to explain how " the avalanche breakdown effect" and "the zener breakdown effect" and then tell you "which one predominates as a function of the dopants' concentrations" in a comment box? I don't have the tools at my house to do this experiment, I guess I could look it up, but whats the point? You know some small detail about electronics? I will answer though, give me till tonight.
"You know some small detail about electronics? I will answer tough"
That's not the point.. the point is that you accuse others of living in a hell of ego and pride while at the same time you're such a megalomaniac claiming that you can debate any topic in existance, i just couldn't resist teasing you. Oh and FYI, breakdown effects are important, its what allows integrated circuits (99% of electronics) to actually work.
@DSkaz89 I said it so someone might give me something to study I am unfamiler with. I am still going to study it. the power of electricity and magnetic fields is something I want to know more about. I should say that I know a lot about relgiion and theism, im also into science. I do have an ego too, we all do. I would say "megalomaniac" is a good description of me, but I feel that we can all be megalomaniac's if we look withen to the true self. : ) so a little different but still I agree
So, where exactly are these dinosaurs you said you've spotted every now and then. I honestly think it would be awesome to ride to work every day on a T-Rex.
I invite you all to the visiting world of Harry Potter. If you are all good enough, you may be allowed entery. All you need is to believe and have faith in the existence of witch craft and wizardry. Remember, religion never requires proof or scientific evidence, just faith. :)
@truthseeker010101 Most dog atheists would say that there is no evidence for color and that they are suspending judgement until evidence is produced. They would be totally justified in doing so. It would be the most rational stance to take. Those who believe in color on faith would not be able to prove it. Even though color does actually exist, they are not believing in it for justifiable reasons, they believe it because of an ancient book, a superstition, a gut feeling or a hallucination.

I agree that people who love God often contribute much to the study
& understanding of nature. Unfortunate those professions invovled
in that have been equally influenced by skeptic-shits who hate
people who love God & don't hate God because they don't
believe he exists so they created the theory of evolution to
spite the lovers of God & then use it's erroneous postulates
to degrade & revenge on people with religion.

Hovind's "Piranhas" appear to be Pacu which do grow much bigger than Piranhas naturally without any special pre flood conditions.

Lin4Masses 3 months ago
@Lin4Masses bullshit. I live in europe and I have also found stonetools lying on the ground. the main difference is that most of europe stopped using stone tools a couple millenia ago. people in the bronzeage and the darkages would also take it and lose it like we do today. but the point is, most arrowheads found are broken. they lack the extension to fit them on the arrow (which prob broke off when it was used). it would be like having a bullet without the case. useless
AtheistScientific 3 months ago
@AtheistScientific : archaeology.about.com/cs/lithics/a/thepoint.htm . I refer you to myth #6.
Lin4Masses 3 months ago
@Lin4Masses they still didn't throw them away if they could use them. and yea, you can kill small animals using normal stones found almost everywhere. but the larger animals who the hunters primarily went for would most likely just run away after the first stone is thrown. and tracking down an animal just to start making the arrowheads immediatly and put them on shafts would alarm the animals of their presence. they had to have the weapons ready immediatly.
AtheistScientific 3 months ago

KajexFiredrake 2 months ago
@AtheistScientific Regardless of why you are trying to make this argument, I think you really need to try harder to put yourself into the head of of these people if you really want to know the truth about this. They were first and foremost hunters. Weather we are talking about humans or pre-humans a squirrel has always been good for a day or two worth of food and they are plentiful; any theory which says that small game was of little importance to hunter-gathers hasn't looked at real tribes.
Lin4Masses 3 months ago
@AtheistScientific I will say that I have seen evidence that, at least in some places, tools were made in a special location (sorry no ref on that). I would say that most likely both are true; some tools were only made in special locations and others were made on the move (sometimes just to pass the time). Some tools were more disposable than others; some were more likely to be carried than others for many reasons. I would avoid lumping these people into such narrow constraints.
Lin4Masses 3 months ago
@AtheistScientific I think I can give you a little more information on how to kill using a rock. Sometimes he would hit a leg or something; sometimes he would even be able to break it. But no matter what size the animal is (even with a broken leg) they will run. To kill an animal with a blunt rock with any great success it is necessary to aim for the neck and break the neck.
Lin4Masses 3 months ago
Your argument about stone tools doesn't hold water. If you have good aim any small rock can be plenty deadly. I had a friend as a child (around 10) who could literally take a handful of stones and kill rabbit at will from a good distance. In my mind, this was almost certainly how the earliest people hunted. It is so simple that people often overlook it, but if you think about it, throwing stones is something which is as instinctual for us as walking and gives us a huge hunting advantage.

Facepalm, people.
fuzzytangent 3 months ago
@fuzzytangent well of course your right, though i disagree partly. Vietnam is an example of a war that shouldnt have been fought (even though the soviet empire was evil and need to be faced by the U.S) I can understand many people saying the same thing about iraq and afgan, someone cant just say "well Im pro war" because that person isnt fighting the war themselves, men and women in the military are. However, the jihadist thugs do pose a serious threat to secularism and free speech.
Killerjosh89 3 months ago
@Killerjosh89

You conservatives complain about islamic terrorists and so-called "Communist" China (actually, ultra-nationalist China), but you hypocrites have no problem doing business with them.
mphello 1 month ago
@Killerjosh89
Even though atheism (there is no god) and communism (equal pay for equal work) have NOTHING to do with each other - i.e. are INDEPENDENT events - that means NOT correlated, which does NOT mean "negative correlated" - at least the communists DID have the sense to promote atheism. They were the few courageous enough to defend atheists throughout Europe, while all the pussy conservaturds like you and your father complained about them.
mphello 1 month ago
@fuzzytangent the problem I have with many conservatives (including my father) is they see the islamic fascists as a threat to their christianity, whereas I look at islamic fascism as a threat to freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and individual rights for all, not "my god verses my god" because both gods are evil fairy tales characters

Dryhumpington 4 months ago 2
@Dryhumpington It's a direct result of the failure of the US education system, where religious schools & home schooling are considered good substitutes for public school. It shows that public school isn't good enough, especially in religious areas. It also shows the power or peer pressure over the Constitution. Even though religious tests are illegal, many citizens demand political candidates to be religious (and the same religion as them, as Keith Ellison knows!)
We need better education!!
NonnyMus1 4 months ago 24
@NonnyMus1 We used to have one of the best education systems in the world. My dad as well as some early Nasa engineers only had two years of college and yet he worked in the early missle programs at cape canavral. Granted they we all very bright to begin with but without to good education they received they never would have made the acomplishments they achieved .
420gma 4 months ago
@420gma I agree! It's obvious that budget cuts and focus on test scores has undermined our once-great education system. As I 'converse' with various Youtubers, I'm appalled by the fallacies which pass for common knowledge. Worse, the most ignorant people have strong know-it-all attitudes that actually prevent learning.
NonnyMus1 4 months ago
@NonnyMus1 You have to ask yourselve what happened to logic and reasoning in this country. Cutting education funding should be the last resort for any country that wants to compete and move forward in this world! Here we are in the 21st century getting left far behind !
420gma 4 months ago
@420gma I think it's safe to say that a undereducated population is a more controllable population. Republican administrations, especially, have made it their business to reduce the effectiveness of education trhough vouchers, teaching for tests and not for learning, charter schools and public school budget cuts at all levels!

I invite you all to the visiting world of Harry Potter. If you are all good enough, you may be allowed entery. All you need is to believe and have faith in the existence of witch craft and wizardry. Remember, religion never requires proof or scientific evidence, just faith. :)

the atheist will be reborn into a dog, then they wont believe color exists either.
