Later on Zack surpassed both Angeal and Genesis, and though he had fought Sephiroth and had lost, he was not at the peak of his power at that time. Zack at his best never foguth against Sephiroth so he is the only one that coul dhave possibly surpassed Sephiroth, though I think not.

The only problem was he's an arrogant fool and held back thus leading to his ultimate demise at the hands of an Omnislash V6 and still before Omnislash Cloud was getting his ass handed to him by a Sephiroth who was basically playing with him. Zack by contrast managed to get Sephiroth to go all out against him. The point Zack is the best character of FFVII 'nuff said.

Crisis core is so well written, it really compliments the story of FFVii. You can really emphasise with Seph and how he longs to belong, and rid his feelings of alienation and eventual betrayal which in turn, as we all know, Leads him down the path of vengeance. Superb character development. Top marks Square.

You don't see this with the likes of hope snow and lightning. (gay names too)

From what i see in all this, i would say, Genesis is a little faster and better with magic than sephiroth. Angeal would be stronger than Sephiroth, but Sephiroth being "the perfect creation" puts him stronger than Genisis and faster than Angeal. Just my 2 cents.

in the original (Final Fantasy VII) there was at least a bit of realism. Cloud for example had to climb the Shinra-HQ in Midgar (99 Floors!!!) in AC he just jumb to the top. And here Sephiroth jumps almost 500m high WITHOUT his One Wing.... Even it looks cool and stylish for all the kids outthere which never had the chance to play the original...Forget this pseudo Final Fantasy and play the good stuff. 3CDs labeled Final Fantasy VII for the PSX! Sephiroth with 7 (!!!) Wings is what I call EPIC!
