I downloaded the game for pc (torrent) a week ago and its nice, you get powers real fast for a major mayhem. And with the pc controls there is no problem playing this game, the problem is you even see those ugly buildings even better but with a good resolution pack that should be ok. Worth playing.

Okay seriously, IGN needs to let this guy go, his expectations are WAY too high! Then, unknowingly, I played Crash Tag Team Racing, Crash of the Titans and Crash Mind Over Mutant (from the Crash Bandicoot series, which was given to Radical in 2005), then finally Prototype. Until Crash and Prototype, I never kept track of who made the games. Now that I do, I'm a bona fide Radical Entertainment fan for life. All the games I played from them were excellent, bar none.
In the PC version of the game you can see orbs from very far away. The only pop in is detail visuals, stuff like orbs can be seen from a far distance away.
I wanna get this on the steam sale, but I'm afraid how crippled I'll have to run it on my Intel HD Graphics 3000, anyone know how good/bad it will run?
So what is the morality design really like? this review makes Prototype seem like an on-foot version of Carmageddon were you can kill just about anyone.. and thats a bit unsettling actually.

Alright IGN I give you that the buildings in the city could have been better, but the draw distance on ps3 is great! it is much better than in this review, the cannonball is easy to preform once you get used to it, and if you did not have all those enemies around you, the game would be to easy, I go into the main base and have 100 soilders 3 tanks and a strike team on my back and it is still rather easy.
This game is great but I can't stop thinking about if you absorb a appearance and someone thinks you are there friends and see you you running up a buildings while they say ''hey what Fred doing''
well....7.5 is a pretty good verdict for ign.....I personally love this game and give it an 8.5 because it is true that graphics are strange, collectibles are hard to see until you get infected vision, you can get through the game with just one power (I use sword and shield), It is kinda tedious to get all the events done. I like the story, like the destruction, and like the sandbox...This is THE BEST SANDBOX GAME FOR XBOX 360 PERIOD! I would prefer possibly Alternate costumes with Normal+ Mode

Those plus Hulk were Radical's notable game. But a las, like Prototype, Crash Bandicoot got underrated by IGN as well. IGN has such a bad scoring system and such bad reviewers. The only good review they've put out is for Batman Arkham City.

Will you people stop arguing about this Infamous vs Prototype debate? If you say Infamous is better, that doesn't mean the whole world is going to agree with you. To me, Prototype is way better. Why? Well I'd rather punch holes through people, decapitate, crush and skewer them, throw cars at people and other vehicles and consume people to survive than to unleash like a 100 bolts for a car to explode, explore a city slowly and to recharge 24/7 because my batteries are running low.

@TheKoolass Both are great, but as written above, some people who played Infamous probably said "damn, I can't use weapons, enter vehicles, swim and I have to recharge constantly!" Well Prototype allows you to do all that, so it's like a darker counterpart of Infamous. Both have nice stories, but I think Infamous wins story-wise because it has multiple endings, but Prototype is more conspiracy-based, yeah. All in all, two great games that need to be played :)
@supereldinho All you said is true, I also think of prototype as a game for above average gamers who just want to brawl to the death with tanks, helicopters, platoon after platoon of marines and elite units, and super tough creatures which look and sound as if they come out of a nightmare! Using powers, moves, and abillities which seem capable of leveling a couple of blocks at a time, if you could actually bust down buildings. Fucking great game!!!!!

Alright IGN I give you that the buildings in the city could have been better, but the draw distance on ps3 is great! it is much better than in this review, the cannonball is easy to preform once you get used to it, and if you did not have all those enemies around you, the game would be to easy, I go into the main base and have 100 soilders 3 tanks and a strike team on my back and it is still rather easy.

well....7.5 is a pretty good verdict for ign.....I personally love this game and give it an 8.5 because it is true that graphics are strange, collectibles are hard to see until you get infected vision, you can get through the game with just one power (I use sword and shield), It is kinda tedious to get all the events done. I like the story, like the destruction, and like the sandbox...This is THE BEST SANDBOX GAME FOR XBOX 360 PERIOD! I would prefer possibly Alternate costumes with Normal+ Mode

"You might remember them as the Hulk: Ultimate Destruction guys". What? No love for their Crash Bandicoot games? No-one remembers Crash of the Titans and Crash Mind Over Mutant? Those plus Hulk were Radical's notable game. But a las, like Prototype, Crash Bandicoot got underrated by IGN as well. IGN has such a bad scoring system and such bad reviewers. The only good review they've put out is for Batman Arkham City.

Before I had prototype and I loved it the greatest way to take out anger. inFAMOUS 1 seemed like shit to me.Then I got inFAMOUS 2 it was the best game I ever played. Will you people stop arguing about this Infamous vs Prototype debate? If you say Infamous is better, that doesn't mean the whole world is going to agree with you. To me, Prototype is way better. Why? Well I'd rather punch holes through people, decapitate, crush and skewer them, throw cars at people and other vehicles and consume people to survive than to unleash like a 100 bolts for a car to explode, explore a city slowly and to recharge 24/7 because my batteries are running low.

@TheKoolass Both are great, but as written above, some people who played Infamous probably said "damn, I can't use weapons, enter vehicles, swim and I have to recharge constantly!" Well Prototype allows you to do all that, so it's like a darker counterpart of Infamous. Both have nice stories, but I think Infamous wins story-wise because it has multiple endings, but Prototype is more conspiracy-based, yeah. All in all, two great games that need to be played :)

@supereldinho All you said is true, I also think of prototype as a game for above average gamers who just want to brawl to the death with tanks, helicopters, platoon after platoon of marines and elite units, and super tough creatures which look and sound as if they come out of a nightmare! Using powers, moves, and abillities which seem capable of leveling a couple of blocks at a time, if you could actually bust down buildings. Fucking great game!!!!!
